The designer dogs now would have been called mutts 40 years ago. But the mutts then happened by natural means.

I rescued a 16 month old poodle about 4 months ago...Really a great experience and a great dog.

Had 2 poodles growing up Al. Dogs were awesome. Smart, loyal and fiercely protective of my sleep. They both would jump off my bed and block the doorway growling at anyone trying to wake me up.

Don't know why but mine was in a kill shelter in Ohio full of ticks...

Woman who networks and rescues about 750 dogs a year without a facility...Jellystone Bark Rescue Rangers out of Oswego...brought him up here...

When I first saw him was 6 1/2 pounds felt like a bag of hangers when I petted him. He was treated for 30 days and recovered and I got him....Winston weighs 12 1/2 pounds now and looks like a different dog.
