The only moves that make sense are dumping AMac for anything he can get and trading Vanek if he doesn't sign before the deadline. The Isles aren't going to make the playoffs so they don't need a rental player. Any team going to the playoff or in the hunt won't trade away a solid defense man that the the Isles need.

So my guess is that Hamonic did indeed sustain a minor concussion and the feeling is he needs a game or two more, which would cause them to send Strome down for Martinek to join the team. So perhaps, once Hammy is ready to rejoin the team, Martinek will be sent to BPT for Strome.
