cause hit's = goals?
- 2Real

because hits at that disparity usually show one team has more energy than the other.

especially against a lesser talented team.

He's not coming up with the momentum saves he was making earlier. I feel like he'll work through it.
- PhillySportsGuy

Yeah that second goal would have been a perfect example of a momentum changing save. Earlier in the year he would have robbed D'Agostini

wow, Flyers out hit 25 - 8?

that's a damn big sign they got lucky tonight.

- FlyerGuy

Meh. They were in buffalo. I'm sure the count could easily be 20-15 if it was a 3rd party

sure, that's part of it.

but coming off of 2 bad losses, and playing a clearly inferior team, there's no way they should be out hit.

to me that shows they didn't respect their opponent, and were looking for an easy win.

The Flyers were very fortunate tonight. Some of the same mistakes that showed up over the weekend vs TB and the Rangers happened again tonight.

They were lucky it was against a lesser talented team. This D has to be fixed ... and soon.

Benching Mez for Gus would help. Any real fix will come a lot later, probably in July.

I wouldn't blame him for that goal just like I wouldn't blame Enroth for Schenns goal. Sometimes the puck is in the one open spot.

or it shows one team had the puck more if you have the puck you're going to get hit more

Or... it could show some biased stats keeping by the home arena staff? Flyers were credited with 1 single hit after the 1st-period... that's virtually impossible, especially considering they didn't have the puck much that period.

yep, that often happens.

all I know is that the Flyers were a LOT less physical than they should have been, especially coming off a Lost Weekend and playing against an inferior team.

Enroth must feel like he has to do everything- and the he overplays his net again and again. Tough spot for a good goalie -

Will take the 2 pts and move on
