I don't think the roster is bad at all. Just too many of the same pieces and not enough of others. A lot of time left before the trade deadline, but Flyers have some pieces teams that won't be back that some teams may need. If the Flyers are willing to go for a goal scorer in the off season they can afford to trade one or two forwards and some picks to get that top Dman.

No, we absolutely shouldn't.

But if it was up to me, I would've traded Laughton, the 2014 first, and a prospect for the best defenseman I could find who is mobile and can push some guys farther down the lineup.

I would've done that yesterday.

Whoever is requested that isn't Hagg or Morin or Alt. Everybody else, including Ghost, would be eligible to go in order to make this defense better now.

Again, that's just me and how I think. I can't fathom running the same six guys out there, night after night, knowing that what they can't do is hurting the entire club.

I understand the arguments about youth, and so forth. I'm not saying those who advocate youth are wrong.
