Jsaq has been very hard on Winnipeg lately.
I think I may have something to do with it. - flyer_nutter
Nope, they're a team that's a good trade match for the Flyers, so I've been watching them a bit more closely. |

Have you ever seen Face Off? He plays himself, and then John Travolta as himself. One of the best performances of all time. - feelingkettle
I thought Faceoff was JCVD?
wait ... I'm thinking Sudden Death, or something.

They need the scoring up front. It's foolish, IMO, because Byfuglien has been their best defenseman, along with Enstrom.
But they are desperate. GM's and coaches are not always right. John LeClair was playing 3rd line center for the Habs when the Flyers traded for him. Ottawa decided to keep Redden over Chara. - Jsaquella
Playing on the third line instead of the first line is different than playing wing instead of top pairing defense.
When has a top pairing defenseman ever been moved to the wing in the middle of the season? |

Just the way his hand flows down his wife and daughter's face...the fingertips glide over their skin like Scott Hartnell gliding on his ass across the ice. It's really genius. |

A team becoming more desperate. Like a lot of the Canadian teams it seems like.

When you have guys like Chris Thorburn playing most often with the 2nd line , it's pretty clear that there's some questionable decision making going on with the coaching and management of the team |

The thing with Buff is that on D, some nights he will wow you, and others he will burn you up the ass.
I have big reservations about a guy with such inconsistency playing big minutes for this team, and make no mistake, they will pay a big price to bring him in either way.
On the other hand, he would probably be the team's best d-man if they brought him in. Not sure how to take that. |

Well, most teams that fire their coach are desperate. They've been an absolute mess, though. |

8mm was a terrible movie by the same trash that made Batman and Robin and the nipple bat suit. Joel Schumaker is a terrible director.
My favorite cage movie is Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. Adaptation was good but really out there. Maybe I'll watch it again someday. |

That's my concern. Buff will cost a lot to acquire and a lot to re-sign. Is that the guy you want to invest that much in? |

Its basically the same poop crew from Atlanta.
I don't expect Maurice to have them playing significantly better. When they came over, the big message was patience. That due to an inability to be a big attractive FA destination the team would need to build through the draft.
Its natural human instinct, for that patience to dwindle. I do think they could make some moves, but looking at the line-up, you aren't going to turn poop into skittles.
Who do you like from WIN? |
