I have to agree, weaver does blow. He gets bullied around on the boards, can be sloppy with the puck at times and doesn't have an ounce of offensive ability in his body... and if that guy falls on the ground one more time I will go ape poop!! The only decent thing I can say about him is that he is a good penalty killer. - Panthers4life
Weaver single handedly stopped two goals from taking place last night against us. It isn't about being flashy on the score sheet. He may get bullied because of his size, but he doesn't lose battles. He blocks shots, kills penalties, mentors the younger guys.. he is invaluable to this team. He may not be here after this season, but right now I am more than OK with him being out there. |

Huberdeau is going through a typical Sophomore slump. It doesn't help that he's playing with Kopecky and Goc.
He isn't going anywhere. Barkov and Bjugstad are centers, he is a winger. He needs to be playing with Bjugstad and Fleischman right now IMO.. but he is just struggling. - Panthers88
and for girardi, brassard, miller/first? |

Wait all of that for Huberdeau?
Edit: I still say no. The 1st isn't going to be high enough and Girardi and Brassard are meh. Now if we were talking Kreider......
Regardless, Tallon would never trade away Huberdeau. |

hell i would do girardi brassard miller and a 1st for huberdeau and kulikov |

girardi can play 25mins a night and shutdown the best players in the world and you say he is meh? and our first can right now be eberything from a lottery pick to a late first rounder with the way we have played this season. |

But you're essentially trading Girardi for Huberdeau and it isn't worth it. If Kreider was involved I would consider it. I love Kreider. |

And you are right, Girardi is very good. |

See my post below.. he's struggling right now. That's all. Sophomore slump. Teams had an entire off season to watch him on tape and they got used to him. Put him with someone like Bjugstad to cause some separation and you'll see a big change. He's useless with Kopecky and Goc. - Panthers88
There's a reason why he is with goc and kopecney |

That's a terrible deal for the Rangers. I wouldn't trade JT Miller and 1st for Kulikov. Kulikov is the typical russian player. Plays when he wants too. Threatens to bolt to the KHL when he doesn't get what he wants. Who replaces Girardi, sure as hell not Kulikov. Kulikov sucks. Besides Florida isn't trading Huberdeau. |

I agree he has had a bad season.. but he is someone who, with the right line mates, could and would explode. Plus he's young, confidence is super key for him. |

And yet... there they are... second last...
(Also... I would hardly call 2-1 and 4-1 wins "handily" especially considering the losses were on the second night of back to back games with Budaj in net for both... but don't let facts get in the way of your story) - mlindsay
a 4-1 win isn't an @ss whoopin??? Why are you on these boards again? Oh yeah, to be a d**k! |

Meh don't bother. Habs aren't winning a cup any time soon and he knows it. We aren't either, but at least we've come to terms with it. |

Barkov and Bjustad need big time wingers on their lines unlike upshall, fleishman |

is huberdeau still untouchable or would you guys consider moving him with how barkov and bjugstad have looked or is bjugstad still the first one to go?BTW i know he is going to cost a lot no matter what. - webleedblue
First one to go? If anything Bjugstad would be the last to go from what I've seen. Why would the Panthers and Tallon ever trade a 6'6" center with the skillset of Bjugstad? No way. |

Neither going nowhere, future 1st and 2nd line centers |

and barkov? that is why i am asking, we are lacking a true #1 center and we have three good to very good #2 centers, if we could add huberdeau to our lineup that could really get us over the hump. and you guys have like 3 potential first line centers so maybe there is a deal to be made. |

Bjugstad, Barkov, and Huberdeau wouldn't be traded for Crosby and Malkin. |

i would offer girardi brassard and miller for huberdeau, miller and brassard can both play winger, brassard actually looks better as a wing than as a center. i would add our first if there were to come a defensemen the other way as well |

I hear ya, but I just cant stand the way he plays. D-men are suppose to battle on the boards and win those battles which he rarely does and clear forwards out of the blue paint and he does neither. Yea he does some good things here and there, but the guy is not worth keeping and taking a spot away from a young guy like Olsen when he gets back.. I'm not saying trade him away now, I'm just saying don't resign him

I agree 100%, put huberdeau back with bjugstad and upshall. What good is gonna come out of playing with kopy and goc? If he needs to get going offensively thats definitely not the way to do it. Flash misses so many chances to score its not even funny so put him back down with goc and kopy and move huby back up. He needs to build some chemistry with bjugstad. When they were paired together huberdeau was playing his best hockey all year. |

I actually like Weaver. Good shot blocker, gritty, but yes some liabilities. Boston has interest in him, I see him dealt if the bottom falls out here. |

But you are taking a potential super star in Huberdeau and replacing him with a 4th liner in Brassard and a maybe in Miller. |
