They work in theory there is not significant proof that these ideas can take over for oil at the present time. The oil people run the world because oil runs the world I'm not saying they don't push against ideas but all the ideas I ve seen or heard of have major flaws in them.
- Yeti1181

We should have the electric car 30 years ago.

The government is run by oil, total corruption no ifs ands or buts

It's unfortunate and sad as the oil is killing us but they don't care about us.

Oh yeti they work, the oil people run the world now.

They either buy or kill there way out of alternatives.

Have you at watched the documentary on the gulf spill?

- Garnie

Paranoia can make people believe a lot of things.

Thing is, if big oil were actually doing what many people say and quashing alternative technologies, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot. I have absolutely no doubt they could patent, market and exploit any alternative energy tech and profit just as much or even more off of it. You think they want to be setting up shop and using oilsands oil? It's a massive, costly and slow process and shrinks their profit margins in the initial investment alone. Plus, considering that they are now looking seriously at arctic drilling (I've been in the industry a while and trust me it would make oilsands look like a cakewalk in terms of accessibility) I would submit that were they in posession of said suppressed energy techs, they would already be slowly phasing them in.

How about as we stated, we kept the teams shooting from bad angles because we had the personnel?

Then we lost our 2 top centre that could play D as well as a little O.

The worlds not crumbling FFS

Chilax, (frank)ing leafers always pretending like they can read between the lines.

We are leaf fans = were not that bright to begin with

3 centers at 1 time.

The Leafs biggest problem has been their line combos and the roles they have given players after the injury bug hit.

Clarkson and Kulemin are the most misused players on the team due to their defensive abilities. Also why has the PPG kessel-Lupul combo not been given a better opportunity?! JVR Is great and he will continue to produce with out Kess, but Carlyle had them glued to the hip.

Oh, also I hate Travis Yost. It surprises no one to watch him cut down the Leafs at every corner (even during success) while the Sens play no better aside from a miracle line that clearly won't sustain what they are doing. Never once has he stated Macs 27-28 goal pace is unsustainable.

Tell me.....how exactly do you think charging stations for electric cars would acquire their energy? Pixie dust?

Before it runs out, yes. But before it becomes a commodity of the elite? Not centuries.
- fifty__missions

You speak like you are not part of the world elite right now. Everything will become part of the elite eventually. Technically, we here now on this board are part of the world elite. Look at how many countries don't have enough food to feed their people or access to fresh water. They don't have the access to electricity in the same amounts we have.

Maybe , maybe not.

They are 100% corrupt and when they make mistakes they will run over what ever they need too to avoid penalties etc.

People need to be paranoid as the oil will probably out live the planet.

Solar isnt anywhere in the stratosphere of being able to produce the 2 TW they figure we will need by 2020.

Yup. And the factories to build them and all the parts and batteries just appear from no where and are not toxic at all....

I agree JVR should be tried with someone else, Clarkson and Kule should be on 2nd line with Bolland when he returns - maybe we could trade Kadri +++ for Kane or even better a nice D if any are to be had

I'm going to quote my own post above:

Yes. Perhaps you have no children, with the prospect of no grandchildren. But, hey, this is "I Pod" generation, isn't it. As long as I get mine.

- fifty__missions

if people focus more on leaving better children for the world instead of leaving a better world for our children then the rest will sort itself out

Solar wind sure keep some oil but I don't think the world should be run by these companies.
