" the issue is not the coach. The issue is our players need to understand, October wasn’t a fluke"

You mean when the goalies had to play out of their mind to get wins?!

- Cooshie

How about as we stated, we kept the teams shooting from bad angles because we had the personnel?

Then we lost our 2 top centre that could play D as well as a little O.

Biofuels are the most laughably overhyped thing in modern history. AP did an extensive expose on the real harm that the "Ethanol Boom" has done in places like Iowa and Nebraska and all the green types could say was "AP iz in de pocketz of big oilz biofuelz are grrrrreat!"....and the extensive biofuel lobby in Washington agree.

USA must love the oilsands. It allows their population of well meaning but uninformed screaming hippie vagrants something to focus their odious attentions on while just as harmful or even worse environmental events occur on their own soil.

If all these grand ideas worked that people kept coming up with we wouldn't need oil eventually but they don't so oil is here to stay.

Based on my ability to read between the lines, It's very clear to me, that you are trying to say the Sens are a much better built team because they traded Bishop away.

Am I close?

i think the x-factor is Hamtilton. Seguin and Kessel could end up being a wash. they have the exact same stats ATM. but if Hamilton ends up being a top-pairing guy, then it really, really hurts.
- DoubleDown

If you're looking at "who won the trade" it's now Kessel vs. Eriksson, Reilly Smith, Hamilton.

If you're looking at "did this trade work out for the Leafs", it's Kessel vs. Seguin and Hamilton, with the caveat that the Leafs wouldn't have necessarily selected those players and/or not traded those picks for someone else.

At our core, modern civilization is still dependent on internal combustion. Until we figure out a better way to initially fire those basic engines that run all our ground zero power sources yes, oil will keep running things.

True but to Burke's defense - Im sure he didnt project his team being so bad in attaining that 2nd overall pick - he was probably thinking that pick would have been 8 to 13 range
- MTL1

You're using the fact that Burke over-valued the quality of team he had in his defense!?

You, sir, would make an excellent Leaf fan

Until it runs out. Or perhaps worse, becomes something only the elites have access to, while the rest of us.....

Sorry for sounding a little bit like a late night radio guy, but, the future is not particularly pretty from an energy perspective as things stand.

Until they designate a global cadre of the most brilliant scientists to figure out cold fusion, like they did with the Human Genome Project. Im still not sure if people properly appreciate what a truly massive undertaking that was.

In all situations, Leafs PDO in October was 106.3%. Since then, it's 99.1%. October was the hockey gods. This is real.

Yes. Perhaps you have no children, with the prospect of no grandchildren. But, hey, this is "I Pod" generation, isn't it. As long as I get mine.

It will be a few centuries before oil runs out. They have time to figure things out.

Before it runs out, yes. But before it becomes a commodity of the elite? Not centuries.

I don't think its as bad as its made out to be....Companies like EnCana, Suncor etc have 50 yr business plans while some like Shell and ExxonMobil have 100 yr business plans.... There will be oil for as long as most of us are around....

They work in theory there is not significant proof that these ideas can take over for oil at the present time. The oil people run the world because oil runs the world I'm not saying they don't push against ideas but all the ideas I ve seen or heard of have major flaws in them.
