He got $4.2m for 5 years and has never broken 50pts.
And on pace ain't the same as doing it. - Big_Lightnin
Yet were super jacked for JVR's contract and he has never scored more than 40pts |

Give him another week
fair pint, but JVR hadn't played anywhere near the minutes Bozak had the previous 4 years, and their production was about the same. |

franson is going to get overpaid this summer.. likely by the leafs
he should be traded but some dippoop in the leafs front office will make a case for him since he is right handed - Dozzer
I want him gone at the deadline to someone who sees the points but misses the rest of his game because they're taking notes on how spectacular his clapper is. |

Bozak averaged 1 min more last season, and 2 and a half the year before that (though the comparison there should be scrubbed on both sides since JVR was a Flyer then).
The difference is marginal. JVR is liked, Bozak isn't, hence the nonsensical argument (hell it applies to Leafers all the time for the exact same reason).
Factor in JVR's superior offense versus Bozak's superior defense, and it's solid all around. Difference is, we're LUCKY to have JVR at that price.
The contract is good. |

cheese is perfectly healthy
dont bother arguing with me because I will ban you for saying otherwise - Dozzer
Cheese is high in calories (about 100 per ounce, on average) and fat (6 to 9 grams per ounce, most of which is saturated), and it often contains a lot of sodium.
Cheese can be made with rennet, which is made from an enzyme that comes from calves’ stomach linings. According to The Vegetarian Society, “The traditional source of rennet is the stomach of slaughtered newly-born calves."
For some cheeses like brie, cheesemakers will spray mold on to the surface to encourage the growth for white rinds.
They [the cows] are treated like milk-producing machines and are genetically manipulated and pumped full of antibiotics and hormones that cause them to produce more milk. While cows suffer on factory farms, humans who drink their milk increase their chances of developing heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and many other ailments.

On pace for 25G and 68P in a full year, flat out our best two-way forward and heads and shoulders the best PKer on the team...
For 4.2m a year.
Once again for another season showing his game is improving and he's only getting better, if there is still anyone who rags on Bozak or fails to see how damn solid his contract is, and worse uses it as a negative against Nonis, they have no business commenting on the Leafs.

I would hold off resigning him until July 1st....or dont resign him at all.
If they can snag Giraldi...then drop Franson |

The notion that McClement or Kule are the best is nonsense. When Bozak was out, our PK absolutely tanked. Since his return, it's leveled off and improved significantly.
People will definitely respond and say 'oh but it was the D!', but really, it wasn't. Bozak is integral, and a fantastic workhorse. This year, he's been our best PKer, and it's not close. |

Actually, at 27 years of age, he's in his prime. |

the only problem with Bozak or his contract is that he is playing as a #1C....which he is not. Contract is fine, Bozak is fine....the Leafs inability to sign a legit #1C is the issue. |

True, but you can't deny that when he plays, that line looks completely different (in a much better way).
Suffice it to say, as of now, that 4.2million is looking like one of the Leafs better contracts. |

I was going to mention that but didn't want to burst bubbles - he is pretty much the best he's going to be. He can still learn and become more effective (smarts) but that will be marginal. His growing success will be directly related to JVR and Kessel's game improving as they mature. |

I see your point but I was thinking in regards to NHL experience. At 27 he's only played 4 seasons in the NHL. Would you consider Sam Gagner at his prime at 24? He's played 7 years in the NHL. Can you see him getting better at this point? |
