while I'm not part of the "fire Carlyle club" ... I do question his use of the 4th line this year - versus my perception of how they were used last season.

Last season he would get them an early shift 3rd or 4th of the game, particularly germaine given how badly the Leafs have started games this season. He would have gotten them out there to bang bodies early.

He doesn't seem to be trying to use them in that fashion this season.

It's funny cause Bozak is such a great example of so many hockey fans view of a 1st liner either as amazing or complete crap.

I mean, if the Ducks get 30G and 75P out of Getz, they and any fan in the league is like, "yup, that's damn good".

And he's 8m a year! Bozie goes on pace for 15 or so less P than that at half the price, and is consistently referenced as one of the bad contracts of last summer. It's absurd.

McClement is the best PKer on he team, and Kulemin is #2. Bozak is still only out their for the faceoff and Carlyle pulls him off he ice.
