It's not pessimism......just realism. We have several huge hurdles to get over before we see successful commercial drilling in space.
That's not even including the political hurdles.

I believe in human greed more than anything. If there is money to be had.. It will happen so fast it will make out heads spin.

I truly believe that. It's about overcoming the issues and reducing costs. So don't ask me.. That's beyond my abilities. Tho I believe it's not beyond others.

You ever consider that the possibility lies beyond our intellect?

I know there are people who make me look dumb as a rock out there figuring this stuff out.

- Dozzer

Yeah, they build space crafts that are essentially buses for a few people and they still blow up.

plus the cutbacks in such programs arent helping.

We cant mine on earth without a total (frank)ing disaster every now and then.

If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse.

Just because it's beyond our scope sofa doesn't mean it's not being worked on by those far more intelligent than us

I have no doubt it is.
But we haven't even conquered the oceans yet.

I've worked drilling rigs man... I guess I just understand it and realize how hard it is, here on Earth... in a field... in the summer... in ideal conditions... and yet still, it's no joke...

If they're working on anything to do with drilling, and I know they are, it's to go deeper, revisit old wells and tap into underwater resources... ain't NO ONE putting billions into flying a rig up to the moon and drilling a hole... sorry, that's the reality of it

100 years ago, what they did in the 20's were out of reach. What was invented in the 40's was out of reach. What we do now compared to the 10s is so far beyond what they did it's almost as if something was put inside our brains to do so.

(and don't correct me on saying the 20's weren't 100 years ago, in the 10s was 100 so what was in the 20s is what I'm saying)

I agree about the greed. Which will be one of the big hurdles to overcome. No one country could do this on their own

We can't (frank) with the oceans. There is a poop ton of natural resources down there. But it's deep for a reason. And I don't want to be around when some greedy (frank)ing company cracks open a fault line and something crawls out.

You just assume that. There are teams of scientists working right now who are funded in figuring this out.

One day.. Someone will. I agree with fake.. Commercial is far off, I don't believe that's the case for exploratory however
