The announcement, disclosed Monday on the Industry Canada website, leaves mainly the big three telecom companies – Telus, Rogers and Bell – in the running for airwaves that will allow consumers to connect to a new generation of devices.

The move deals a blow to the federal government’s plan to introduce competition in the telecom marketplace and lower prices for consumers.

Could the Leafs pry Dustin Byfuglien and his $5.2 million cap hit from the Jets for Reimer and Gunnarsson? As we speak, Winnipeg has less than $49 million in cap space committed for next season – leaving a $22 million gap toward the ceiling. Fans of the Jets are justifiably growing restless. A Reimer-Pavelic tandem in goal – while expensive – would be an improvement and Gunnarsson (though a completely different player than Byfuglien) would stabilize the Winnipeg blue-line. Some food for thought, anyway

Eerily similar to David Clarkson descriptions before the season started....

I know Clarkson has been a huge disappointment. But I think he needs a nice long audition with Kadri/Lupul before we go out and get a player that he was supposed to be.
