Leafs actually have more shootout wins (6) since the start of Nov. than in regulation/overtime (5).

So wait both agree that the players are better then the results show, but in no shape or form it will fall back on Carlyle. So if this team just keeps plummeting and the players don't perform to their capabilities, the coach will never be held accountable and it's only up the players to turn this around???
Then what's the point of even having a coach??
- failed systems
- almost last in all stat categories
- Worst shots against and shot differential
- not getting all out of the players
At some point something has got to give, I'm not saying it's right now, but if things don't change then the coaching or players will have to swapped out. And if Nonis and Tim expect us to believe that there is no ownis on the coach they are so full of s**t and no one is buying that.
It's plain and simple, one of two things has to happen. if the players aren't good enough, try and acquire better ones, if thats not possible then Nonis will have to go and we will have to find someone who can acquire better players. OR we do have adequate players but just aren't reaching their ceiling of potential then eventually that will fall on the coaches head and he will have to go.
Nonis and Tim don't insult our intelligence, because no one is buying your BS!
Over and Out! Have a nice day |

Holland should be getting 3rd line mins. Put McClement on the 4th line, but play them 2-3mins more per game. McClement will still get his PK time and can come in for big defensive zone face-offs when need be. |

“I think he(Nonis) spoke very loud and clear this weekend, the issue is not the coach. The issue is our players need to understand, October wasn’t a fluke.” Leiweke said. “We gotta get back to playing the way were then.”
“If you look at the players that we have today, there is no question that we all think that we should be in a better position then we’re in today.”
They have the right players, and they have the right coach. The problem is that the players think their 10-5 start was a fluke, and once we can convince them that it wasn't a fluke, they'll be able to play 10-5 hockey again.
Am I reading that correctly?

Will be interesting to see how Carlyle uses Holland tomorrow. Said previously that Holland's development was being hurt on the fourth line.
Enjoy the 4th line Kadri - Fruitcakenipple
Holland on the 2nd line - Kadri on the 3rd and McClement back to the 4th where he belongs. Try that. |

I'd personally have D'Amigo in this lineup over Ashton. I'd also have McClement on the 4th line and give that line a bit of an up-tick in mins (maybe 7-9 per game). |

neil young is a super hippie
one of the few who actually mean what he says.. problem is.. he still has no answer for implementation of said ideas. - Dozzer
He can say what he means all he wants it's still bullpoop talk. These people want to sit there and say all this about the oil sands and the bad it does then go live with out. There goes his house, clothing all the CDs he's sold over the years, his power, vehicles (tour buses, planes, stage, stage lights everything) he consumes more then the average person and is sitting their playing the big man trying to save the world he's a (frank)ing hypocrite. They have grand ideas and no solution Christ they are the maple leafs of the real world. |

Why does McClement need to get 3rd line minutes? He's a 4th line C and PKer. If he was centring D'Amigo and Ashton on the 4th line instead of the non fighting goons, Carlyle might actually be able to keep the top 3 lines fresh. |

Trade Franson while he has value. The guy simple can't skate. His stats are heavily inflated due to playing PP1 but he can be replaced there. Gardiner has real tallent and can take his PP spot.
Id like Dubinsky(UFA) on the leafs, he'd fit in nicely at 2C and push kadri to the wing (he cant handle the responsibilities) |

James Mirtle @mirtle
Holland's no possession world beater but Leafs absolutely must dial McClement's minutes down from the 18-20 he's getting. That's crazy. |

in fairness to Neil, he isnt really saying the oil sands are bad.. his issue seems to be the neglect of the long time treaties with the native indians in the area.
and he isnt wrong.. the harper government is neglecting/ignoring long time treaties... and i think that particular part is wrong.
truth is.. the cons likely wont get re-elected.. been too much shiftiness on their part.. its gonna cost them at least their majority
then the funny part will happen.. the left wing party will take office.. have no way of replacing the tax revenue or employment figures generated by the oil sands and it will conveniently become a back burner issue that never gets resolved. |
