I thought that with Engelland we didn't need another enforcer type like Letorneau-Leblond. Bringing Zolnierczyk would be much better.
- Orpik44

Maybe his bout with McGrattan had something to do with it? Crazy if so but I'm just grasping at straws.

Maybe they are trying to keep the WB roster competitive?

Think Steve Mcintyre. Fighter. Played some games with the Devils a few years ago. Not very good.

I just don't get the call up. I know of multiple other players that would seem to be the better call but what do I know. haha

Who the hell is Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond? For the second day in a row we have called on a guy that I had no idea existed.
- kgrpitt

an absolute waste of roster space.

My guess is that he is most likely just being called up to sit in the press box and be there in case someone is a last minute no go. So if there is no intention of whoever they called up actually being in the game, then it makes sense. Now if they are actually planning on playing him tonight, then yeah it makes no sense.

Where is Neal? PensInsideScoop tweeted he was practicing with the team. If Neal plays, I guess Pyatt goes to 3rd line. Adams goes to 4th line nd Despres sits in the Press Box tonight, again.

If so that is very good news, I saw that he had an upper body injury.

Edit: you are correct Neal is at the morning skate.

I mean the guy they just called up seems odd. I can see wanting to add some toughness but this guy is useless if Caps don't have a similar player.
- dbell646

They have Volpatti, he doesn't play much hockey but likes to fight.

I don't care who they call up if it sends Pyatt to the pressbox. Our bottom 6 has been a disaster, i applaud them mixing it up.

Much better. Sit Pyatt, play this other pylon, and lets go get 2 more points.

Pyatt is a much better hockey player then this guy. That says it all. We have engelland in the line up no real need for this guy. They should have recalled a guy who can potentially contribute

Much better? You didn't know who he was 10 minutes ago. I wouldn't claim Pyatt is better than anyone without seeing the person he's being compared to play. Pyatt is an abortion of a hockey player. If PLL can skate 5 minutes and not manage to put the team down a man he's better than Pyatt.

The guy is the definition of a plug. Come on man 37 games 1 goal 1 assist 127 penalty minutes? Hatred for Pyatt aside he has been productive at the NHL level. Playing actual hockey minutes

Compared to the "other pylon" you refer to, Pyatt looks like a perennial all star.

If the call up of Leblond is simply to add toughness to the roster and have some tough guy-hack in the lineup to match the other teams perceived toughness, I wouldn't be surprised. God forbid this team just be who they are and not worry about all that instead of trying to be who they are playing. See EQF against Boston for prime example. "Lets be the Bruins" didn't turn out to be much of a game plan.

I don't disagree with that. However at least there is a little history of success there. I'm willing to give Pyatt a few more games. Particularly when this is your other option.

Sweet!!! Im excited too!!! I also heard they will be tying Sid's skates together tonight, also they were going to be spraying Kuni in the eyes with pepper spray right before he takes the ice. (both would be just as effective as Sutturd playing on that line)

Personally, I would have liked to see the Pens waive Pyatt, put Glass/Sill/Adams as the 4th line and just bring up Zlobin/Uher/Kuhnhackl as the 3rd line. See what they have. It would have just been for 1 game since we don't play again until Monday, send them all back down after the game, and hopefully some of these injured guys are close to coming back.

Oh No! A different 4th line winger in January? The great Taylor Pyatt might sit? This season is a write off!

no panic...just an observation. Leblond is the definition of a waste of space. He adds no value--even less than Pyatt.

If they were playing the '75 Flyers, then Leblond would fit right in. Hopefully he's the one serving popcorn at 7:08 EST

When? 1998? Has he done anything good while a member of this team? I don't give a flying (frank) if he was half decent 5 years ago. He takes penalties and gets minuses now, that's the extent of his contribution. I would rather see you out there than him.
