Except none of the goals were on Emery and were more on the defense not doing anything.

The first and the third don't go in. And Mase has as good of a chance as anyone to save Nash's second.

pretty similar game to yesterday's ... tons of chances to score, but horrendous D zone play is killing us.

That will be a serious problem until they redo the defense corp. Playing team D can help, but any team that comes in with a hard forecheck and a physical style will make us look stupid.

The Flyers team defense in this game is a carryover of the game against Tampa Bay. They are folding under the pressure.

Mason MIGHT have stopped the 1st, assuming he was quicker to react to Carcillo behind the net ... but at best this would be 2 zip.

edit: and even on the 1st goal, Emery saw Streit whip the puck behind the net, and logically looked to his left where he thought the puck was going. He really had no reason to think that Streit was passing it right onto Carcillo's stick.

You can believe that if you want but Nash ripping a shot with no one him from the slot and laser to the corner likely still go in on Mason.

At best maybe he gets the first but it would be nice if the D did something.

TIme to keep putting the offensive pressure on, unless you drive hard to the net then it is a penalty.

Carcillo scored? This team is so predictable it's almost comical.

We struggle against the Rangers and Devils. Good thing they're not in our division or anything....

They've been folding under pressure for years. Teams with pathetic talent/skill levels are able to hem us in our zone with an aggressive forecheck (Devils).

I think that the Flyers missed the .500 mark, and are headed back down to it. It was nice of them to give us a little hope. However, reality is settling in. Some players decide to take some nights off, and play like the lazy millionaires that many of them are. When the players refuse to make quick, and crisp passes, and just push at the puck gently, you are in for a long night. It's one thing to lose if you are playing hard, but it's another to just sit there, and do nothing for 50-60 minutes.
I also can't figure out the call ups, or the temporary 1-way ticket subs that we have. Rosehill? Really? Tye Mcginn? His brother plays better than he does. Why don't we try bringing up some other folks from the Phantoms, rather than the usual suspects? Come on management, what is your obsession with size over substance?
I am sorry to be a little negative, but I am a frustrated fan when it comes to our play. We are not consistent, and some players decide to take some nights off. If I didn't care about the team, I wouldn't even say a word.
Thanks for listening.

I think the reality is, if they don't play their top game, they're not going to make the playoffs. They're simply not good enough on D to have periods off and still win consistently.

Carcillo wouldn't go with Simmonds or Rosehill. L. Schenn is much bigger and stronger than Carcillo. Handled himself well.
