You know Lindback is sieve. And you know the Flyers make backups look like veniza winners

I don't think the Flyers lost because of lack of chances.

losses always suck ... but I don't think this is as bad a loss as some of you guys do.

they just gotta find a way to beat the Rangers tomorrow.

- FlyerGuy

Rangers is a bigger game I agree all is not lost, but they still put in a poor performance vs an eastern conf opponent with several teams on their heels for 2nd spot. I don't like when they piss points away like that... oh well, maybe this was their crap game after the long trip...

We had our chances. Lindback played a good game. But overall hes not a good goalie.

But he played well enough today to win. And that's all that counts.

Flyers D was disappointing all afternoon from the goaltending on out. I'm looking for Mason to put this behind him quickly and get back into the groove again tomorrow night.

He's not. On another night, this could have been a 7-2 Flyers win. If they win tomorrow, I'll have no worries

For a guy who is universally disliked, I don't recall him ever getting suspended
- PhillySportsGuy

He's a poop disturber, not really a dirty guy IMO.. He's not a Cooke, Kaleta type..

I agree. Tomorrow night is really important. Much more important than this game. Lets hope they have a big comeback against the rags

even bad goalies sometimes have good games. He played well. And Mason didn't ... which is unusual.

Plus our D coverage was something out of the Lavy era, not Berube's. And we must have had a half dozen almost-goals today, if not more.

I just don't see this as a crushing loss. In fact, considering all the things that happened that don't normally happen, I'd say this was was pretty easy loss to take.

Lets look on the bright side. At least were not the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Blindside hit where the opponents head was the first point of contact..
Wouldn't surprise me if he got a game or a two.

- opeth_pa

I'm thinking that's about where it'll fall.

Although it didn't look as if Hartnell was targeting the head, those are exactly the kinds of hits the league wants to eliminate

Maybe. But I'd throw Mason right back in so as to not let his ugly performance fester.

To beat the Rags in NY, they'll need Mason at his best.

I agree ... I'd go with Mason.

He's had a couple of iffy performances this year, but bounced back real strong.

If they could sign both goalies for good numbers should Homer do it? I think Mason has shown that he can be a good #1 goalie and I think Emery has done a good job as a back up.

As much as i like mase id still wait until offseason. That way you get a full year evaluation and have options open in case somebody else is available. Personally i'd like him to stay but its nice to have it open in case a top flight goalie becomes available. Crazy things happen , ya never know.
