At this point Edler (even with a bad season) has much much greater value than Tanev in the eyes of NHL GM's IMO.

Blues have built a damn good roster, it's why I think the Blue Jackets are in good hands, both their GM/President were a big part of building this Blues team.

We can only speculate, but to me moving Edler and locking up Tanev long-term is a no-brainer.

Even the Blues/Sharks have drafted guys like Schwartz, Taranseko, Hertl, Coyle(before he got dealt for Burns).

Hopefully we'll one day get to boast some draft picks like those(Horvat/Shinkaruk).

The Blues have been a joke save the past 3 seasons. They better have some nice picks

Hertl done for the season and Monahan slowing down might have sealed it for him. Barkov hasn't been bad either lately.

He's not a big point producer and he's still a RFA, Gillis should take advantage of that and get him signed long-term(I'd prefer no more NTC's though).

Blues drafted extremely well with mid first round picks or traded late picks for guys like Bouwmeester who's playing really good for them.

Barkov is solid but not Mackinnon territory. Kid is gonna get 30 goals and 55-60 points

In a 70+ million dollar cap world a 40 point dman is very nice @ five million.
