'Hawks in on E. Kane? He would be an EXCELLENT addition to Patrick Kane's second line, but the cost would hinder the organization. Aside for a lack of cap space, I don't see who the 'Hawks would be willing to part with outside of their "big six" (Toews, Kane, Sharp, Hossa, Keith, Seabrook) and I don't think they are ready to put Kane-lite (Teuvo) in a deal either.

Maybe the Jets want Oduya back?

- TommyHawk

There is always the possibility of the Hawks sending Hossa and a prospect the other way. Due to recapture rules the hawks might have to buy out Hossa after this year, however that would be a clever way to get around that.

I just don't think the value for ROR is going to be matched by a defenseman from any team that wants to make a trade. Realistically ROR=Andrew Ladd, which is a great player, but how many teams are going to want to pay $6M+ a year for him. I think that the better value can be had in finding a true winger to play with Matt Duchene. While I don't think it would happen, a ROR-Eberle swap could be interesting for both teams. An Eberle-Duchene combo could be a lot of fun, and Edmonton gets that Heart and Soul player that they have been seeking. They can also try to find defensive help by trading Gagner, and Colorado can seek defensive help by moving Statsny for a player like Mike Green or Keith Yandle (Obviously, the package for Yandle would require one or two more pieces).

I'm still in shock he wasn't picked for the Olympic team.

Obviously they figured Hemsky was the superior player.

Lets face it... the new NHL Is no place for exciting rumors. Trades have become almost non-existent.

Why hasn't Calgary imploded that team yet? Traded Iggy, and than stopped the rebuild? They thought he was the issue?

Trade Giordano to the Flyers. You'll take Rosehill, Gus, and a 2nd round pick and you'll be damn happy about it.

I really hope Colorado keeps McGinn. Watching him turn it on the last few games after Parenteau went down has been great.

True. Except I will say if you are a professional athlete you are not reaching your true potential or effectiveness if you are terribly overweight. And considering how handsomely he is compensated, he should work on being his very best.
Apologies to those sensitive about my weight comment. Plenty of wonderful and overweight peeps making a contribution to society.

Sorry kids BUT:

Kane is out with hand injury

Buff is playing forward (finally)

Jets will fire he coach at the end of the year, make some small moves and will be an improved team next year.

If Eklund knew anything about Cheveldayoff he would know that unless the names Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos or Ovechkin are mentioned, no moves are coming from Winnipeg.

Rielly- top-5 pick who's already in the NHL, and is showing his clear upside.

Nobody's going to trade that for a 1st/2nd line tweener center looking to sign for big bucks. O'Rielly's good, no doubt, whatever he lacks in offense he makes up for in defensive ability, but nobody's going to give a top-5 pick, or a recent one for him.

- Feeling Glucky?

I would trade edmonton 1st this year for him, that might be top 3 pick. Alot of people would do that trade, but the AVs are smart, an they will keep him, trade Paul, and a picks, and other support players for top 4 dmen.

I said this yesterday on another thread. Buff straight up for Ryan O'Reilly. Or Bogo and Stuart for RoR. Jets improve immensely at center/LW. Avs get their defense shored up. Bogosian top 3 pick will be/is top 2-3 D on most teams, Stewy played college hockey in Colorado.

Eberle would be face of franchise. I'd rather trade Yak but Ebs is what Jets need

If Erat was going to be a UFA I be ok with the Kings trading for him for next to nothing since he wants out of Washington and they've had no takers. But commiting another year to him at 4.5mil im not ok with.

What are you like 8 years old? You will end up moving those guys for far less than those names. Buff and Kane wont get you one of those guys in a deal.

Read it again, Mensa.

I am saying that Chevy will NOT trade those players unless they get the moon and stars back. Ryan Reilly? Please. Kesler? Beat it.

Ummmm...those guys are pretty good players that could improve your hockey team. I understand wanting to maximize the return...but you are not going to get top 10 NHL players for those guys.
