I think its clear that the Leafs are playing horrible defensively. Would there be any harm in bringing in Martin for the rest of the season? He made Hal Gill and Josh Gorges look like Norris winners (exaggerated but they were awesome) lol only problem is that we were small up front with very little fire power. You guys have lots.

Yeah i think its time for a different defensive coach that would be smart. But i also think its the players on defense as well. Gleason was one good addition and a defensive responsible stay home defender.


One of franson or gardiner need to go in a trade. We need more defensive defenders, girardi keeps popping up everywhere for trade rumors and trade block, he might be the best bet and choice for leafs to obtain. Other than that leafs need to trade or put on waivers/minors ranger and fraser. Stop with the BS, its time to let them go.

I think the Leafs need a coach who can identify the strengths and weaknesses (many lol) of this team and come up with a system that works for this group. Currently we have a coach who cannot adapt - would JM be the same story i.e. he has a certain plan and he would try and make the team play that way instead of being more creative? dunno....anything is better than what is happening right now.

Leaf's organization shot themselves in the foot the day they fired Burke. Last year was a Burke team making the playoffs. Year One of the Nonis era is not looking so good. You can't play that Boston Bruins style of hockey when you're always playing in your own end. Shipping out skill like Grabo/Macarthur was a terrible choice.

True. Burke should never of been fired. Lewinke is all about the yes it seems and that is right up Nonis's ally. I don't think Mac was ever going to re-sign anyway but yes, Grabo was devalued in the roll that RC gave him.

Nonuts is going to have look at trading talent for talent and soon.

Doubt it happens but if Carlyle got fired. WHo would be best suited for this sinking ship?
