I have no problem with Corsi if you look at it and use it as one factor in forming your opinion.

What I can't stand is when people think that it is a crystal ball that can definitively predict outcomes.

I'm looking at you, Travis.

Exactly. It's a piece in a puzzle.

Well if last night showed us anything it's not just how bad Frazer is on the blueline, but how important Gardiner is.

I'm not even saying Gards has had a good year but man do we ever need him out there.

#Leafs source: Words from Nonis 2 minutes ago "That's it. He's outta here." While walking away. No clue what that may mean

@The Creasy

I know it's probably a bogus source but with another game tonight in such a short turnaround I really believe tonight could be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

My main problem with Corsi still stands. If you try to improve your team solely based on them, then Jason Blake would be a great addition.

There's also the fact that this season the Leafs have won most of the games they've given up 40+ shots, and lost most of the games they've given up <30.

- 1979AD

yeah... i'm not sure about that

when the leafs get a lead, they sit back. so it makes sense esp early on when they were getting .950+ tending that they got killed on shots but won... since the goalies are now only .910 the past 2 months..they dont have the lead anymore.. still get outshot but are losing more

The water boy isn't keeping the bottles stocked. Lots of tension between him and Clarkson.

leafs win 5-2

book it. when everything seems to be at their worse. When one more loss will start rolling bodies. They always win. And they always win big. Giving false hope.

Guarantee they beat the poop of out the Caps tonight.

Im so fed up with this team. The Dion signing was not a good deal for Toronto. I hate to admit it but it'll be a long long time before the Leafs become a contender, if ever. I don't know what else to say about this team. Nonis and Carlyle are both meh. Tank for McDavid i don't (frank)ing care anymore.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. However, if the players have truly given up on the coach, or if they really want a big change, then they know they can do themselves a big favour by poopting the bed tonight.

They know heads will roll and I truly believe that tonight could be a major turning point for this team's direction.

Since he doesnt have a GM - Harvey is taking the lead role in trade talks for Kadri, Gardiner, Kessel and Phaneuf and any other guy Burke brought into toronto

At least Kessel produces at a ppg pace. Dion does absolutely nothing. His point totals are crap and in all honesty this team's road PP is dreadful.

point is if you are one of the top corsi teams then you are closer to the top of the NHL most likley, and the few elite ones are contenders.. how great would it be to just be one of the teams talked about like that? if admitting there is a new way to evaluate a team and using it to become one of the contenders is OK.. is that not what we want?

Yeah, I tend to agree that this is the point where they typically win and the crisis is averted. But I have a feeling the poop isn't going to lose it's momentum an inch before the fan like usual. I think this time it's going all the way.

Other teams have apparently picked up on what we were talking about last night: nobody gives a crap about our bottom six. Other teams go out against our bottom lines and chew them up.

We get no push back from our third line and no physicality from our fourth.

I could tell you who played the fourth line EVERY night last season. Every player made an impact.

This year? I honestly couldn't tell you who was dressed on the fourth line most nights. Orr? McLaren? Is Ashton in? Who knows?

I don't expect a win every night, but I expect other teams to have to earn it when they play us. Put a little fear into them. Make them feel it the next morning.
