I wouldn't say that. The biggest issue is that no one is playing for the logo on the front, only the name on the back. I really liked Carlyle, but I don't think he's handled this team very well this season.

He can't deal with younger players.

Simple as that.

I don't think we'll be getting rid of a goalie anytime soon as neither has been consistent enough to hold down the job. Plus the play of the D means that these guys will be getting so many shots that they'll burnout if they play more than 55 games in a season. I say we keep them both for the next couple years.

If the return for Kadri is good, then he can go.

Until we become a puck posession team we're gonna be spending too much time in our zone. It's killing us.

I will admit I was openly bashing corsi and advanced stats in October....though deep down I knew it was wrong...it was just too much fun.

Now I say corsi and advanced stats are awesome, and the leafs better start using them to analyze and fix their problems otherwise they have 0 hope.




Now watch them go on a 10 game winning streak, while being outshot 50 - 20 each game.

My main problem with Corsi still stands. If you try to improve your team solely based on them, then Jason Blake would be a great addition.

There's also the fact that this season the Leafs have won most of the games they've given up 40+ shots, and lost most of the games they've given up <30.

So true. It's almost as important as when they discovered their own relative hotness increases proportionately with as many uglier girls they associate with.

I have no problem with Corsi if you look at it and use it as one factor in forming your opinion.

What I can't stand is when people think that it is a crystal ball that can definitively predict outcomes.
