The cost would be high for those guys and Girardi is a UFA. I would trade Franson straight up for him and that's about it.

so you spend high at a reasonable amount and still have an effective team. The cost may be high but in recent deadlines, etc. we have seen players traded away not get the best return anyways.

Yeah Nonis is in a position I don't envy.

I'm sure after the playoffs last year and Rogers/Bell being able to milk it for 7 games that they want to see it again so he's got to try for it.

On the other maybe a step back somehow will take you two steps forward.

But I was thinking...all this talk about 'carlyle's system'...can someone explain to me what 'carlyle's system' is?
