I didn't notice at first, but it looks like Reimer is pointing at Staal, probably screaming at the top of his lungs.

They didnt really do much in playoffs... nor had that really good of a season.

Mac 20 pts in 40 games, 3pts in 5 games in playoffs

Grabo 16 pts in 48 games, 2 pts in 7 games in playoffs

If you are a GM, as grabo is on a big contract it could easily look like he is going downhill. Same with mac but mac was replaced with raymond this season at a fraction of the cost

- Mapleleafs_91

As I said in the last thread, it is unbelievable to me just how different almost every player seems to look when they step out of this organization.

Regardless of whether Liles, Grabo, Mac, etc had to go, the problem is that they clearly weren't performing to the best of their abilities here. What does that say for the rest of the group?

If I were Nonis, I'd dedicate every moment of the day working with my staff to figure out why every Leaf looks like an all-star the second we move them.

I mean, we had to pay to move Liles, the guy that Carolina has instantly rejuvenated into a top 4 d-man. He was fine when we got him, then he went to crap (partly due to an injury, and partly due to our lousy system), then he's miraculously pretty decent again.

FIGURE IT OUT, Nonis.

I'd love to know how these even happens. Isn't Carlyle a 'defensive specialist?'
He shoulda had that problem solved midway through November.

So in the past nine drafts/years the Leafs have finished like this vs what the Blues have done but Cox says it takes time? They've assembled their team over the same amount of time the Leafs management had to assemble theirs.

Mismanagement is what it boils down to!

2005 - 21st (Tuukka Rask) draft lottery from lockout.
2006 - 13th (Tlusty)
2007 - 13th traded pick away (Blues drafted Eller)
2008 - 7th (drafted Luke Schenn 5th)
2009 - 7th (Kadri)
2010 - 2nd (traded away for Kessel)
2011 - 9th (traded away for Kessel)
2012 - 5th (Rielly)
2013 - 21st (Gauthier)

Blues

2005 - 24th (TJ Oshie)
2006 - 1st (Erik Johnson - traded for Shattenkirk Stewart Rattie)
2007 - 9th (traded down to 13th Lars Eller) (18th Cole) (26th Perron)
2008 - 4th (Pietrangelo)
2009 - 17th (Rundblad - On June 25, 2010, he was acquired by the Ottawa Senators in exchange for the 16th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, which the Blues used to select Vladimir Tarasenko)
2010 - 14th (Jaden Schwartz) 16th (Tarasenko)
2011 - 11th (traded away)
2012 - 25th (Schmaltz)
2013 - 22nd (traded away for Bouwmeester)

Leafs need to start rolling their lines. Last year Bozak's line would come out, then Grabo's, then Kadri's. The 4th line even got to play about 10-12 mins a night which was fine because we were mostly in our opposition's end. Having McClement on the 4th also stabilizes that line making them less of a liability.

Things were going great this year when we would roll Bozak then Kadri then Bolland. Right now we should be rolling Bozak then Holland then Kadri, with Jay on the 4th line.

Randy is worrying way too much about having a true shut down line when it is clear we have been most successful with a balanced attack.

The problem is, leafs management + coach are VERY slow reactors. These types of things are easy to predict. Fans are predicting stuff and they cant? They are not quick reactors and when they do react its already too deep. They keep telling themselves oh things will be okay things will turn around, NO YOU (frank)ING JACKASS GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES and do SOMETHING. Geesus they are all in denial like seriously

They are both very conservative and patient. Sometimes it's a virtue, sometimes it's a burden.
