How long will torontos poop ass team keep Carlyle? - robin_steele264
Hopefully not long, although I wish we were in Edmonton's spot right now... being in the draft lottery every god damn year is sure to provide results at some point. |

Probably the same thing the SN and TSN panels did when they decreed he was the #1 UFA on Jul. 1.
I don't think I've seen a #1 UFA signing actually pan out since Chara in 2006. Just ask the Rangers what they think of Brad Richards. - 1979AD
Yeah I've made a decision I care very little about hockey on July 1st now. Every signing is crap.
Scuderi would have been nice. |

Edmonton would still suck in the East. |

if that's our lineup..i'm looking for a new team to cheer for.
any room on the Sens wagon I wonder?
frick - Garnie
that 2nd line plays the shutdown minutes, with Holland on the wing to give it some offensive ability. D'Amigo and Bolland will be awesome together in a shut-down role.
3rd line feasts on weaker competition for better depth scoring.
It's the formula that worked last season, with ???-Grabo-Kulemin as the shutdown line, averaging top-6 minutes, and Lupul/Frattin-Kadri-MacArthur cleaning up against weak competition.
Problem(among other things) is, with Bolland hurt, and McClement not up to the task, the Leafs can't get that formula going again. |

He has picked up that attitude.
It came after many nights though where he was just about a one-man show out there.
Honestly, I look a the garbage play and zero work ethic he is surrounded by and I can't blame him. He has never been the guy who would lead the team out of these kinds of problems and he isn't now.
... and it took him quite a while before he also started to mail it in. - Aetherial
i imagine it's a very, very difficult/tense situation to be a part of right now. |

It was 2-1 then 3-1 last night.
Kessel came out flying after the 3-1 goal... tried to do so much that he almost hurt himself skating too fast into the corner. Seemed to me he was really giving his all when I watched him. |

Bolland isn't a 2nd line C. - Pecafan Fan
on this team he could be.
just because he didn't on previous teams doesn't mean he can't
he' better than Kadri and McClement, works like a mofo..has ( had ) some chemistry with Raymond.
easily could play 2nd line ( pre injury )
just my opinion..you could be right...but I won't admit it. |

ok.
believe what you will.
But if you look at the Leafs, you'd think they do better with Clarkson than they did with Komarov, 8 minutes a night, no?
Komarov would probably go with the flow just like the rest of them at the moment. To think that guy would be the solution is rather foolish. - Pecafan Fan
Yes, this would be the expectation.
If Komarov is the answer, we are not asking the right question. Decent enough 4th liner, but there should be 1,000 guys available tomorrow who could do the same for league minimum. |
