Mason has probably been asked so many dumb questions by the Philly media. At this point, he's just defensive by nature. |

So McGinn is our new 4th line wing?

By the end of the 6 six I hope McGinn is playing on 2nd unit pp in a Simmer role. They really need a net presents and McGinn seems to have a noise for dirty goals - AGL_91
I think I agree with what you're saying. I would like to see McGinn on the 2nd PP as well. Schenn is alright around the net, but I'd rather see him in the high slot where Hartnell plays on the top unit. |

Downie was pretty bad on the 2nd PP unit last game. I would go with:
BSchenn-McGinn-Couturier
Streit-Lecavalier |

Downie has not looked great, period, recently. |

Mason- the way he battles hard on second chance shot opportunities and his exceptional handling of the puck are what seperates him from what we had in Bryz.
Big fan of his puck handling, that makes the whole team better. - Just5
This. And Mason is sooooo much better in shoot-outs. |

I think the top line should be Voracek- McGinn - Raffl

They should have called up Akeson. By putting him on the 4th line, the rest of the NHL would have a (slim) chance of keeping up with his production. Otherwise, he'd run away with the Art Ross, and likely would break Gretzky's all-time scoring records during one 23-game span. |

Something is definitely odd about the situation. So while Zac was being interviewed and the now famous boos for booze line was created, he was hurting the whole time? Quite the trooper... - wolfhounds

I hate to be a conspiracy theorist (well, I don't HATE it actually) but I have had high ankle sprains and they are incredibly painful and there is no way a player could be walking around, laughing and happy after a game in which it occurred.
- TeamUSA
This logic always makes me laugh.
Injuries do not present the same way in every person.
I ruptured my ACL and tore my MCL 2 years ago, I'm sure someone here had a similar injury and I am sure when they had that injury they had a different experience then I did. Everyone has a different pain tolerance and to assume because someone else wasn't presenting symptoms the same way you did isn't a valid basis to make a statement on the truth of that injury.

Would it be too much to be a little excited about the future of traditionally weak Flyer areas with goalies like Heeter and Stolie and D-men like Hagg, Morin and Gostisbehere? |

True. If injuries were the same for everyone Stamkos wouldn't have been thought of for the Olympic team (still don't think he'll have enough muscle mass in the leg in time, but good luck to him). |

JvR and the Leafs regressing like a MF'er. I can't wait for them to hit that panic button. |

The Calgary Flames have been shutout 6 times in the last 3 weeks.
What a mess.
And the Maple Leafs thread is gold. Pure gold. |

I think the Flyers now have more points than the Leafs with a game in hand.
Didn't I read recently they recently scratched Jake Gardiner in favor Mark Fraser? |

That is true. Flyers turnaround has been a joy to behold. Berube deserves a lot of credit. He's got this team playing very well. I still cringe watching his press conferences. He's not the most articulate guy in the world, but I guess that comes with the territory when you have been punched in the head a thousand times. |

OTOH, I do like Berube's candor. No one player really seems to have favorite son status with him. |
