sad that this had to be explained
- Crimsoninja

What's sad is that it makes no sense, because a team with a top 5 pick, is obviously a poopty team (with exceptions). poopty teams wouldn't be trading picks like that for a 36 year old defenseman with no knees.

You are seriously underestimating the Oilers desperation level imho.

Could be. Does Markov have a NTC?

Hello fellow Hab fans.

I am not new to this site but I could not remember my account as I have not logged in for sometime.
I am flying to Montreal on April 4 to attend the Montreal vs Detroit game on April 5..
I am looking for 4 tickets and have been browsing http://www.stubhub.com/.
Does anyone else know of any good sites to purchase tickets to this game?
Or if there are any season ticket holders on this site that are selling tickets to this game pm me and maybe I could go about getting tickets this way.

Any info would be appropriated.
Thanks
Shawn

As long as the info is not misappropriated, that's fine.

Check the Habs website. They have a place where season ticket holders sell the tickets they don't use during the season. Ticket Vault or something like that.

you wouldn't take a first and 2 seconds for Markov?
- DoubleDown

In the summer, yes I would. At the trade deadline with a team sitting in 4th. Maybe not. Would it be acceptable payment... sure. But the point I made is that there would be enough teams interested for a gross overpayment which would then make it worth it in spite of all the negatives that have been brought forth. A first and 2 seconds is not a gross overpayment...

Montreal, with Markov, is likely looking at a first-round exit in the playoffs. and no one is offering that much for Markov anyway. maybe a first rounder.

Hard to say. The market is unpredictable. Kyle Quincey fetched a 1st pick a few years ago. He's not as old as Markov but still.

A first and 2 2nds is pretty damn steep for a 36 year old with an expiring deal.
