I don't understand the Patrick Marleau pick for Team Canada. He didn't go and play the International ice for neither of the lockouts.

Whereas his teammate Thornton didn't just go there he played very well.

Jagr said the international ice is hard to adapt to. He said it takes 4-6 months of play time on that ice surface to be comfortable on the ice.

Not sure why the selection committee didn't consider such things.

Everybody is wondering why Rick Nash made the team, because he has size, creativity and clutch goal scoring ability. Not to mention he played overseas for both lockouts.

Marleau was the dumbest pick IMHO.

I would have had James Neal ahead of Benn - Marleau - Nash - Carter

He's a one dimensional douchebag whereas Benn and Marleau can at least play D...

Not really any point in discussing this anymore. Unless the team loses, its a non-issue.

Yes Im sure it will be discussed post tournament - but as it stands - of the 5 - Neal has the better +/-

No question, he's one of the 12 best offensive Canadian players in terms of numbers but, like Kunitz, how much is attributable to playing with Malkin?

Neal is at least 4 players down the list of snubs...
