not me.. all summer i said if nonis didnt fix that D they were in trouble.

I know Corsi isn't the be all-end-all of stats, but, some things don't lie.

When you're outshot, don't have puck possession, out chanced and couple that with a ridiculously high scoring % vs the number of shots you take, something's gotta give at some point.

It was well documented that the way the leafs were winning last season was some sort of mirage/exception. Not the norm.

In other words, it was predictable but people like burn and glucker preferred to make fun of those stats and facts and drown themselves deeper in their homerism.

Val Bure and his book shilling wife are about as relevant as the great Hab Marcel Hossa and his quest to find out why his parents gave all the talent to his brother.

oh its the players.. but they have quit on the coach.

now.. i am no fan of RC or the way he implements his game but the guys arent even trying for him anymore

and in sports.. when a coach loses the team.. its time to go.

- Dozzer

when a coach loses his team 100 games into his tenure (which included a playoff berth), that says more about the players than it does the coach.

To put things in perspective, the habs aren't the only team struggling lately.

The Bruins are 5-5-0 in their last 10. Habs are 5-3-2.

Bruins also lost their second best dman less than 10 games ago

they also don't have to play with Francis Bouillon, Douglas Murray and Raphael Diaz in their top 6. that this team even plays .500 is a miracle.

Ya but he's great with young talent like Ryan Hamilton, Greg Scott, Mike Zigomanis, Korbinian Holzer, Simon Gysbers, Marcel Muller and Philippe Dupuis.

i still think if last season was a full season the leafs miss the playoffs

carlyle is not a great coach.. his cup ring came from being lucky enough to coach what amounted to damn near an all star team

interesting to note that once that anaheim team was disassembled a bit and some key pieces were moved out RC never got them past the 2nd round ever again.

that.. depends on who you ask

i never liked the number of shots the leafs gave up

all the opposition needs to do is cycle the puck until the leafs D eventually makes a gaff and opens up a hole

i agree on Carlyle not being a great coach and his rep being inflated by Neidermayer and Pronger. that's why i do think it makes sense to fire him. becaue even if nothing changes, you're not losing out on a great coach. name an interim guy and see if he can right the ship. if not, search over the summer. i never thought RC would get fired this year but he's starting to leave Nonis no choice.
