The avatar is sacred ground.

Eddie, like Kirk before him, brings people hope...

Unless you can find a better picture of Eddie.

We won't make the avatar the deal breaker even though I had your new avatar picked out already.

Bet is on, good luck Chocolate boy!!

Santorelli is not a 4 th liner. Where is Hansen

Dont care trade him or play him on fourth line drop kassian and move up santo. That team is depth galore.

I'm sorry but this team has bigger issues than trading Mike (frank)ing Santorelli or re-signing him at the moment. I wouldn't do either at right now. We obviously need him in the lineup unless he's going to be part of a big return. Re-sign him now and you might lose some of what he brings or give him too much based on a small sample size. I personally want to see what he brings down the stretch and in the playoffs before I award the guy a multi-year deal.

Asset management. Worst case scenario is that he isn't extended or traded, the Canucks get bounced in the first round and he walks. There are definitely bigger issues, but that doesn't mean that asset management should be ignored.

The guy is a Vancouver native and would love to re-sign here. Managing your assets properly doesn't necessarily mean making a rash decision. If a great deal comes along for him then move him. If not, stand pat and lowball him in the summer. He's only a FA in July so I don't see a need to get a deal done 6 months in advance.

I read something yesterday. It was an article where they interviewed Jason Botchford and Botchford was saying that at this point the Canucks have no interest in resigning Santorielli. They are worried that the he is only playing for a contract right now and if they give him that contract they fear his intensity and production would suffer.

Well why havent they noticed Kevin "contract year" Bieksa yet?
