Are they bringing in a new scout then? - Sabresfan-365
I'd say they have plenty of scouts. |

Sabres move Cunneyworth from scout to player development - Irish 14
I thought of him as player development already since he was working with Kaleta

- thinks the GM's were ask about their thoughts on Nolan (thinks it weigh on candidates). It's a package deal!
- Tim Murray was ok in short term with Nolan 1-2 years?
- Anaheim, Rangers, Florida and Ottawa -Murray found young talented players and believes strongly in a strong American Hockey League affiliate.
- Murray is a non BS guy, but needs to learn how to handle the media.
- Murray - straight shooter, very approachable and a hard working guy.
- LaFonatine did his do diligence and picked the right candidate
- Pat LaFonatine brings a CEO that will talk to the little man and brings credibilty to the organization. |

I think those two are key, although working in Canada must have helped him with the latter. |

Pretty sure this is the defining factor.....might as well take the interim tag off of him know......
I like the idea of Benning and his experience but it looks like Boston closed the door and that and rumor is he was keen on keeping Nolan....
That said I have liked what I've herd from people about Murray except the lack of cup rings.... And the Ottawa fans seem upset to see him leave so that is a good sign |

I would certainly give Murray credit for helping to build the Stanley Cup winning Ducks team. |

By Mike Harrington
While discussing the aftermath of today's Baseball Hall of Fame voting, I tweeted a comment about another voter's actions that included inappropriate and regrettable language.
As a parent of a special needs child, I am well aware of the daily challenges they and their families face. No one should demean them or what they go through.
My deepest apologies. |

So Murray is a done deal eh?
And he might be bringing Murphy and Lee with him? That could be a possibility since they promoted Cunneyworth. I hope Devine stays and what will be the plan with Miller? I read that they might be preparing an extension for him. The question is how Ryan feels about staying but I could see Pegula throwing a lot of coin at him. |

I agree but I really like the idea of a guy who has his own and knows what it takes....feel the same about coaches and havering a few guys in the locker room.....this organization is sorely missing that experience through out |

I'm still of the feeling Miller doesn't see the direction and will not resign...I'd rather move him get something at the deadline and move fwd w the rebuild....besides there is no saying that if u wanted him back u couldn't try to resign him in July...but I think it's unlikely |

I'm really on the fence with Miller. If you resign him but don't become a contender for 3-4 years he'll be what, 36? But if you re-sign him it might attract ufa's. |

I was pulling for Benning, but I'll trust Patty. Murray isn't the worst choice. He knows how to find talent, and with our management, new doors will be open for him via trade, FA. |

Definitely a doubled edged sword... They also have a lot of goalies in the pipeline now that they will have to make decisions on...miller stays they may want to start moving a few of them....enroth, Hackett, knapp, ullmark makarov, at least a have to have some value |
