The MLS, while has gotten better is still sub-par to any of the leagues around the world talent wise.

The other 2 aren't lesser, Concacaf includes some South American teams (actually have to be top of you league for enterance) and Open Cup is an all around so teams from competing leagues can play including teams from lower level leagues.... Kinda like AHL and NHL teams competing in another tournament....
