Surgery would have been done if required..His hip is fine other than maybe like Doz pointed out it's a mental thing where he's afraid of injury and if thats the case then he's all but done...

Most the athletic therapists the Leafs employ are Sheridan grads and since I have a good relationship with many Sheridan grads profiling them during my college days, (they're all over the AHL/NHL/NBA/MLB, I tend to still talk to them. And Carl was referred to a hip specialist so he could make the decision if he wanted hip surgery or not by the Leafs therapists, I've been told this.

Same reason I scoffed at the Simmons report about Sundin, it was never Sundin's hip that bothered him, it was his leg.

Ya they all need to keep those Team Canada Rick Nash glasses on.

Low blow . Rick Nash will be just fine on that team. No way he alone will disappoint us in that tournament. There are a group of players that are marginally different - better or worse, and I have to think Nash has quite a bit going for him that appeals to the selection committee and his fellow Canadian teammates. Just my opinion.

Just making an observation.

Kadri +15 last year and playing well. -11 this year, and not so much..

It's pretty easy to see Kadri hasn't played well even without the +/- stat haha, but he did play better last night.

His best game this season was by far the one he got kicked out of. If I see more of that out of him, he'll be a #1 centre. But if he wants to just float through games, and make poor changes and not be engaged, well....
