The club is using Remier to ease Bernier into the starting role, it's obvious, particularly by the fact that until now they didn't have the guff to put Bernier in for more than 4 in a row.

We'll reimer has had two years to claim the number 1 yet we are getting upset Bernie's is getting a couple months to lay claim to it now.

... and he did claim it... I was comfortable with him after his performance last year... game 7? that's not all on him at all... that team got a lead and just imploded... Bernier has been given a couple months to lay claim and you've seen in the last two games what has happened when he's had to deal with a significant work load for the first time in his NHL career...

I don't know if it's a lack of confidence or just the simple fact that Bernier doesn't have the ability to stay focused but you can't allow a soft goal almost every game you play and be a successful NHL starter.

I sure hope there is a future superstar available at draft position 12-14 this year.

Bernier is a young totally unproven talent like many. He was drafted in the first round so people are hyped up about him. He may be the next Roy, but probly not.
