He rides Sidney's coattails. Does anyone seriously think that any other potential Olympian would do worse than Kunitz riding shotgun with Crosby?

Look at St. Louis. The guy contends each year for scoring titles. Stamkos or not, he's just consistently great. Throw him on Crosby's wing and how many 100 point seasons would he have?

Vlasic was also a bizarre pick. Sharp was kind of a surprise, but justifiable.

The St Louis thing is the one that just boggles the mind.... you can make arguments for most other omissions... but him? What is the reasoning? He's fast, veteran, amazing shot, great passer, clutch performer... Just won the scoring trophy... so what if he has grey hair...

Rebounds

The defense is so damned poopty that they can't afford to have a rebound machine like reimer in net. If the D could learn to clear a puck once in awhile then I think reimer starts more.

Bernier has better rebound control, and with this defense, it's almost a necessity.

The thing that I hate, is Reimer has lost that affable, smile at everything attitude... he was lights out when he was that guy... God damn Carlyle... James needs to get some games in... I still feel he's the guy to take us into the playoffs... he's the one with the experience... albeit limited...

He doesn't have the backup mentality. He's meant to start and he needs games.

I think this is probably a factor. Also Bernier is a better puck handler, and god knows the Leafs need a goalie who can make an outlet pass, since most of their D can't make one and the forwards can't receive one.
