He probly was, but it's not all about stats. I think what burns him is that he plays good hockey more when it helps him, tends to play worse when the contract year ends. They probly want guys that show more consistency every year. I think with Subban they are looking at him as a weak defender but useful offensively.

Better skaters but I wouldn't consider the better then phaneuf imo.

Pickle is a very underrated d man. He's excellent. You pair him with phaneuf and you 2 old have keith seabrook quality pair there.
