Are you upset by people talking about the team selections on here?
It wouldn't take much to get back into another Dion thread smasher. Prolly one coming soon anyways.
All you do is complain about the complainers!!!

Why does Leafs Nation hate the Leafs so much?
It's effing redonkulous.
Trade Kadri!
Leafs take 10 points in 6 games, and then get blown out the next game.
The team sucks! Trade them all! Nobody would want them - just cut them!
This team would be waaaaaaay better with Komarov!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Atomic Wedgie
Leaf nation is pure (frank)ing drama.
Then you look at the wings, and wonder how they keep a team in tact for multiple years.... |

Last time I checked the fans weren't responsible for player transactions. Unless you're suggesting that fan reaction influences GM's decision, which is total hogwash. |

Played golf on George St. last spring - tried to do 18 but could only manage 10. Needed to one putt every hole to make it, but lost focus and 3 putted a couple holes in a row and stumbled back to the clubhouse. |

and the point i was trying to make is this fanbase is never happy, and always looking to trade, fire, demote, etc.
other fanbases seem to enjoy small tweaks, and we want total revamps....
....even when we are winning |

I actually blame the media more than the fans.
But yes, there are consequences of fan negativity.
Just ask Larry Murphy.
Or Bryan McCabe.
How long do you think Phaneuf is going to want to stick around when he can't live up to his new contract? Or Clarkson? So we end up trading them for pennies on the dollar (see Murphy and McCabe, above).
The negativity kills confidence.
You think it is coincidence that Stanley hasn't come north of the border in 20 years? |

Most don't seem to like him on the team. Along with Carter and Marleau

People need to realize that the Hockey Canada braintrust put a lot of value in international experience when making these choices.
You don't have to agree with it, but let's stop wondering why guys were selected. It's not like Yzerman and the boys just picked names out of a hat.
Or better yet, somebody earlier suggested that Carter was picked because they felt bad he was only an alternate last time.
Yeah, that's how it works. |

Would anybody care if Wendel Clarke left? I mean hey, at least Phaneuf is a good player. |

Do you think maybe the constant bashing has the adverse effect and is the reason they don't live up to contract

No one is saying they picked names out of a hat.
It was player pictures on a giant dart board.
