TSN's latest projections: Claude Giroux out and Jeff Carter in on RW; Chris Kunitz in and Logan Couture out on LW. Our only changes.

In my opinion, while Carter is the better goal scorer, G is the better player. That would irriate me to no end

Yea, with the extra open ice Giroux would dominate Carter.

He wouldn't change projections unless he had inside information. What has happened over the last 24 hours that would make Carter a better selection than Giroux?

Its not Bob MacKenzie's projections... its TSN, and it could have been changed just by the reporters discussing it.

Agreed. I can follow the logic, but I don't agree with leaving the better player at home.

I'm betting Claude Giroux will be plenty disappointed if he doesn't make the Canadian roster.

As a Flyers STH, I won't be.

I'd prefer he get himself setup for the end of the regular season and the playoffs and play with a chip on his shoulder.

Even if he is left off the initial roster.... there will be injuries... Giroux might be the first replacement.

I'd feel bad for him. I think they were looking for an excuse to keep him off the team when he skipped their pow wow because of his broken wrist. He's the NHLs leading scorer over the last 3 years.

Sidney Crosby gets Kunitz and Giroux doesn't make it.
Crosby must be GM

Probably true.

But, a guy can dream.

I would love to see "chip on his shoulder" Claude Giroux going into the playoffs.

I'd be so bitter If I were Giroux. I wouldn't even accept an invitation if a player got injured.

I think leaving Ryab behind is a mistake. I have no definitive opinion on Yandle.

When the announcement comes that Carter made the team over Giroux, I think Hockeybuzz may overload.

C'mon, Read, get your ass back in the lineup!

Let's go Flyers, close out the road trip with one more win!

Ugh at all this boring ass Olympic talk.

Carter and Nash playing RW but no Giroux? How does that make sense?

Hey, nobody does International hockey like Rick Nash.

I mean, he's had so many bites at the apple from having played in all of those World Championship tourneys because his teams never make the playoffs.

Giroux is better than Nash in every aspect. Better offensively, better defensively, better on PK, better on PP, better leader, can play multiple positions, great on face-offs…I could go on and on. Nash is just bigger and faster.

Me, too. I would usually root against the most recent champions anyway, but to have a Canada team with Crosby and not Giroux would make it a lot more fun.
