Any one look at the Czech team? At least the US wasn't that bad with their decisions. Hudler, Fleishmann, Vrbata, Polak and Hejda were all left off for players like Kaberle and Nedved. Would have loved for Jagr not to go either, but at this rate it might not matter for us.

DAFAQ? They left all those guys off the team. Definitely makes me feel better about team USA decisions.

We're still going to need Canada, Sweden and Russia to pick some head scratchers. Czechs were a bad team already, this just gives them a chance to lose to Slovenia or Austria.

Hertl wasn't selected either. He would of been magic along side Elias and Jagr. He's got the large ice experience, and is fast as heck. Imagine the things he'd do with all the possession and space Elias and Jags would give him.

I give us a very slim chance to medal. We are bringing a team built for north American style ice that's defensive minded. Part of me wants to see total failure so all these bumholes in charge will never be in charge again.

He has been hurt though I have him on my fantasy team.

He got taken out by a classic Dustin Brown knee. Don't think there is any chance of him being ready for the olympics.

Yeah, confusing situation for some fans. I'll gladly eat crow if they medal but I just don't see it. Scoring wasn't expected to be dynamic but they leave off one of the most dynamic forwards, defense will be a wreck in my opinion, and I'm not confident that miller will repeat is 2010 performance. I'm hoping the Swiss can pull off a bunch of upsets or something. Nice to see a small country like that start to develop some good players.

Meh not to much to complain about I mean the Sabres have it bad enough already and Zubs wasn't hurt but I am pretty sure Myers is a repeat offender. It's also not like his suspension will have any effect on us since we don't play them again for a while if we do ( can't remember ). It amazing me how Lupul intentionally cross checks someone right in the ear and gets nothing but a fine.

I hate how these teams pull these fantastic undrafted players outside their arse. Jones, Hertl, etc. Most of the teams are already good, anyway. It makes me furious that we pick Larsson and they just find great players.

I thought a game or two, nothing serious, but he had the opportunity to line up a clean hit and chose not to. Lupul was ridiculous, and he has past history. People think you need to suspend players 50 games to get the message through but if you start treating even the smaller infractions like this one or lupul's as suspendable offenses players will get the message.

Hertl was a first round pick. We have Andy Greene who was undrafted, Clarkson, Kinkaid, etc. People hate on our drafting but they mostly just look at Tedenby and Josefson. We really aren't that bad, every team has misses.

Can't be horrible at drafting when you get guys like Henrique, Gelinas,Severson, and other all taken after the first round. Could there be room for improvement absolutely and also most of the star college kids who don't sign with the team that drafts them either want to go someone where they are promised a top spot or somewhere that is really good. These americans put to much stock into Minny and Boston and places like that.

I thought he was undrafted. Whoops.

Maybe, but LA, for example, has a consistant stream of NHL-level goalies. Quick, Scrivens, Jones, Bernier from last year.

Jones and Scrivens apparently both undrafted but Bernier was a first rounf pick 11th overall and Quick was 70 something overall

We had Marty for the last 20 years, we didn't need anyone else. All I remember is drafting Ahonen and Frazee. Once we put an emphasis on goalies we started doing better. Right now we have Schneider, Kinkaid who is one of the top AHL goalies at the moment, and Wedgewood. Pretty good in my opinion.

Exactly. Were Tedenby and Josefson bad picks? Sure. But unless you draft in the top 10 every year you are going to have some busts. The same years we drafted those two Detroit drafted Tom McCollum and Landon Ferraro with their first picks. They have 1 game of NHL experience between the two.

I remember Ahonen he was supposed to be real good was he not then never panned out and stayed over seas seen a highlight real save of his this year popped up in my news feed from one of the sporting sites I liked on fb. It pretty weird when you think about it like what made them take Tedenby or JJ ( can't remember which one ) over O'Rielly and Silferberg both of those guys went early in the second. Teddy especially because he was an under sized skill guy and how many Marty St.Louis out there lol everyone likes to point to him when you bring up under sized skill guys but there is only him and not many others.

It would be nice to have a #1, but it's not the end of the world like some people seem to think. Many a 1st rounder turns out to be "3rd liners at best" so no biggie!

I always root for upsets they are great. Nothing would make me happier though as a hockey fan to watch Jagr lead the Czechs to gold. It would be amazing watching a legend of the game pull of some crazy poop like that.
