Viewing the incident in a vacuum, it's a 5-gamer for sure. However, compared to other suspensions for similar hits, I'd say it's 2-3 max. I still think it's a joke that Lupul deliberately cross-checked a player in the head and got a fine that I could (sadly) pay. - jmatchett383
You could pay that fine to us Sabre's fan if you would like! We would throw a good ole party when the Flyers come to town! |

Wasn't that for an illegal hit on Zubrus as well? - buffalofan19
No. He didn't get suspended for his hit on Zubrus. |

I did see it on the news but his quotes are always brought up at family parties as like I said before was a friend of my family.
My favorite non PC quote was during a mayoral debate. When asked about why south buffalo streets were always plowed first and the East side was last
But the 6 pack quote is a well known quote around Buffalo |

Atleast 3 games. He left his feet and propelled into Zubrus's head. Plus he has a history. Does anyone know his last suspension? - Stripes77
It won't be more than 5 games because it's a phone hearing. But 3 games does seem right just on the fact that he elevated his feet. |

Miss the days that local politicians were people instead of politicians. If that makes sense. |

Nah. Usually, if I see a video there I really want to watch, I just go to my phone. |

The clean up will take longer though in the city. Luckily I live on a street that is one of the first to get plowed. |

The side streets I cut down are going to be terrible, also sucks that the school in front of my house closed so its not on the top of the plow list. |

BUt with having a Bufflo "Hub" does that allow for expansion of teams that will be formed? So now a team can be formed in say the Maine/Vermont/New Hampshire area because now the cost of travel will be much lower. - hubie
From the last blog:
If the program were ever to come here, it would be about the facilities only, and some wooing done on the part of the Pegulas. I have no idea what their travel is like, but if it involves air travel at all, Ann Arbor is close enough to Detroit's airport, which would most likely be cheaper given that it's a major hub for Delta Airlines (i.e. you can fly non-stop from there to just about anywhere). You can't really fly anywhere major out of Buffalo. |

Stepniak or Cumberford must live on your street . The models suggest the bulk of the snow will be to the south. I doubt anywhere in the city gets even a foot. |

You know what, though, Ferraro had a good point. If you watch the way the Finns played with their trap style, I'm not sure it would matter. The ice outside the hashmarks is often referred to as "useless" ice by players and coaches. As long as you can keep players outside the hashmarks, it's essentially the same game. The international ice surface is only wider, not longer. (200 x 100 versus 200 x 85). |

True for the current teams. But with Buffalo teams furthur away can now form. Could see say 3 US Dev teams to be formed. Have 1 team in Col 1 in Ann Arbor 1 in Buffalo. Could allow for a very large league that could start rivaling north of the border leagues. |
