Maybe they can just get Ray Lewis to murder the other team during pregame, and then blame it on his entourage.

I thought the trade was made prior to the FA period. Could be wrong though.

I don't think so. It would have been stupid if they did. Giving up an asset for a defenseman when you may be able to get one in FA.

It was made on the flight back from the draft and announced the next day.

Just a little story from my trip to Nashville last year:
We went to a Stars/Preds game (thought it might be last chance to see Jagr). In the second period, Weber took a stick to the face and there was no call. Even from my seat, I could just see something flip inside of him. About 10 seconds later, a Stars player came down his wall. The player was literally launched backwards through the air about 2 feet from the hit. The puck then came to the slot, and Weber gave the guy a forearm to the mouth and dropped him like a sack of potatoes loaded with cement.

Not a clear-cut reason why he's better than Suter, but he sure is damn intimidating when he gets going.

I needed to step away after reading Tim's article.

Just...needed air, whiskey, and to talk with a priest.

Paul Stewart's new blog has an interesting take on the Bissonnette-Rosehill fight from Saturday night in the bigger context of staged fighting and coaches making decisions that used to be left up to the players.

Has a shot. I was focused on the NHL roster, though.

Synopsis: Flyers shouldn't even try to win Metro--should just concentrate on finishing second in division, or finish no lower than 7th in conference.

I'm not so sure he's figured out how the new playoff structure works.

The Czechs have two guys over age 40 on their roster...No Hudler, Vrbata or Fleischmann. No Erat...but 42 year old Petr Nedved
