[quote=poisondhearts37]I also think you guys should move Buff for the huge return a team like Philly or some other poor team would offer up for him. Role Bogo and Trouba as your top 2 right handers.
Are you insinuating philly is poor? lol. Old man Ed prob has the deepest pockets in the league. |

why the hell would anyone want one of the most imposing dmen in the game who is solid at both ends of the ice and no slower than Pronger. What's wrong with these people???
2 schenns and a 1st is a steal. Couts would definitely have to be included - muffin_man
No chance in hell couts is included in any trades. He is basically untouchable IMO. He already is in charge of shutting down opponents top players, now he's finally getting more confident with his offense and is now producing. |

Canucks want him too!!! - LeftCoaster
yeah, pretty sure that if Winnipeg is willing to talk about dealing him, there are 29 teams that would put together significant offers. |

Is Stafford that useless as a player. Could he not be effective as a supporting player on very good team? - Jeropotato
Stafford is extremely streaky as a player, he will have a 20 or 30 goal season and follow it up with a 10 or less season, he's always been that way.
With that said, while he doesn't have a ton of points this season i think it's been one of his best in regards to the effort he puts out every game. Right now he's playing with younger guys, put him on a good team and on a line with some skill and i think he could still net 20 or so goals. |

Got to admit that was stetting it, but would be nice. - Champ
If we're going with "It would be nice" why include Plek?
Bourque, Briere, DD, Bouillon, Murray, Gionta, and the obligatory 2nd |

Replace Plek for Leblanc and it's probably an over payment |

Gawd typically idiotic Habs fan. No way a 2nd works, it would have to be at LEAST a lottery-protected 1st, and a conditional 6th. |

Must be a slow day....so lets make up some Kane rumours!!
Kane is not going anywhere...why would the JETS trade him?? Have you watched him and Scheifele over the past couple weeks??? That is our top line in the making....give it up, he is not going anywhere....and definitely not before the Olympic break!! |

I totally agree, Kane ain't going anywhere, especially for the garbage some have been proposing, Rene Bourque?? are you fricken serious. Carey Price gets you Evander Kane, something like that.
Same with Buff, Paul Holmgren can wish all he wants but until he coughs up either Courturier or Brayden Schenn ++???, Buff stays.
as far as Steve Ott, watch out for Chicago to look into that one. they tried to get him last year. they need some one like that to play against the Blues and others. Plus he can play either wing or center. |

Price for Kane? lololol...I think the cold out there has frozen your brain - Kaden
I'm not the one offering fricken Rene Bourque for Kane, must be someone from colorado since weed is "a go". Look Carey Price is a high end player, so is Kane, so it would have to a steep price to get a high end power forward like Evander Kane, not some teams spare parts. that is all I am trying to state here. |

As a Sabres fan... I can only hope for Patty Lafontaine to part with what it would take to create a first line consisting of Nazem Kadri centering for Evander Kane and Emerson Etem. The energy, feistiness, offensive capability and attitude (quite frankly) would be great if that trio were to be united for the next 8-10 years in Buffalo.
Evander would likely cost the most, as the Jets are not going to part with him for pocket change. Toronto probably wouldn't deal with the Sabres, but if they were willing to send back Canadian fan favorite Cody Hodgson in a straight up deal... they just might jump at that opportunity. Etem has been in Boudreau's doghouse for his poor start to this season, so I'm sure he's no longer untouchable... but still not someone they'll just give away either. The Sabres do have the draft picks and prospects to pull something like this off... closer to the deadline, preferably, so they can still have a shot at drafting Reinhart! |
