I completely agree with this.
I honestly dont know who the top guys are anymore. The world of defenseman is ugly now that Niedermeyer, Pronger, Lidstrom are gone.
Chara? Maybe Weber? Few top flight guys anymore.

Weber is so overrated.
He's got name recognition, so he gets considered by default. So did Phaneuf 4-5 years ago.
Chara is declining. I think Suter is the new top dog. Keith is having a phenomenal season, but has still allowed more goals against than Phaneuf, for some perspective.
Keith will win the Norris this year. Suter will be in the hunt for the next 5. |
