Don't forget Hitch's role in getting rid of Sharp. It would be fitting if a goal by Sharp knocks the Blues out of the playoffs.
- Feanor

That's a great point, Clarke did trade Sharp, but, at the time Hitch's input was leaning toward a preference for veteran players, & Sharp wasn't a favorite of his.

It does suck, but what can you do? These things, if you look around the league have happened to most teams, if not all teams.
The worst thing about losing Sharp, is that nothing came in return, and, he's the type of sniper that we could use, but whatever, no choice but to move on.

Another Sharp hat trick last night.
He continues tap dancing on Clarke's forehead.

Watchin the World Jrs makes me think that next years Phantom team has the potential to be a fun team to watch with lots of potential with guys like Laughton, Leire, Cousins, Straka, Alt, Lauridsen, and maybe even Ghost

Been watching evert Canadian game, and I can't stand Drouin. He cries all the time. My 2 month old girl is screaming her head off right now and she's still less of a whiny baby.

I hope Laughton is on the Flyers next year and Rinaldo isn't. His stats this year are utterly appalling. He needs to go to the AHL and not be a total offensive black hole/defensive nightmare.

I think laughton could very well be on the team but after watching him play last month and a bit I think he still has some little things to work on like anyone his age. Therefore it all depends on how the organization wants to move him along. I personally think start him in the AHL evaulate him after a month or two of pro hockey

Ya I somewhat agree. He clearly doesn't understand that he cant skate through everyone and get all the calls. I think that Stamkos and St louis will set him straight. He reminds me of of Giroux who forces it way to much

I feel like you could get a nice little return on Rinaldo from a team like the Oilers. MacT has been making some pretty poor moves recently as well.

I like Rinaldo but the team has too many guys ready to take the next step and he and Rosehill are dead space.

Rinaldo biggest issue imo is that he hasnt stepped his game up when given the chance. Guys like Downie, Simmer and Andrew Shaw are the new waive of energy guys as they create space and still have other plus skills. Imo if u can't bring anything else to the table then energy and big hits then you don't deserve a top 12 spot in todays NHL. There so much talent now of days at such a young age. Look at Raffl for example. More guys like him should be fourth liners as they actually bring something to the table other then running around tryin to fight someone.

Agreed. With Raffl coming up and McGinn, Laughton & Akeson waiting in the wings I dont see the point in keeping a guy like Rinaldo around. You have enough depth to run 4 scoring lines with enough gritty guys to grind throughout as well.

I give laughton a B grade. Offence doesn't seem to be his meal ticket but he showed that he can be a great Pker. It also seemed that he really undertands positioning and not getting caught out of position as a winger. He def is not more then 4th liner at this point and I personally don't see him more then a 3rd line shutdown center, which every team desperately needs.

For Leier I give him a C+. He played well along the boards but he did not show any above average skills. Like Laughton he seems like a good PKer and maybe a future shutdown type of guy who can move up and down the line up if need. I think that he def can be a potential 3rd line player

Agree. I am going to make a guess but I would say that the majority of top tear fighters play for teams that are expected to make the playoffs and are used as warm bodies. Again just guessing.

I feel like a lot of people dont realize Laughton has outgrown his league and the offense isn't going to be sustained.

He was drafted so highly because of his superb defensive play. The NHL comparison at the draft was John Madden, not Jonathan Toews .
