the old sabres watched Darcy sit on his ass when the free agents on the cheap could be had. I don't see that happening this off season

ennis, foligno, coho, armia, gringo and girgens will be part of the top 9 moving forward. I do not think it will be that hard to find the other spots.

For all we know, the sabres will continue to play well and pick 10th

Did you get your candle blown out for your B-day ?

First Ward neighborhood bar. Not as grimey as the name would suggest. Friendly, decent prices, mostly just bottled beer and good wings id I remember right. There's definitely better bars. If I go there it's simply for the novelty of having been at the swannie house.

The 10 dollar parking with a free beer is just convenient on game days at Swannie. Flyers are in Buff next week, which means ill be coming to town needing a place for wings and to get licked.

Flames are realistically are only competition. We still have yet to win on the road and we haven't exactly beaten great teams at home.

From what I read (red) last year during the draft . Darcy was a over looker. Devine did the calls . For and Assistant he has done pretty well.
Heard (herd ) the 2 years before too.

But I'd still take Ekblad
There's too much of a drop-off between him and whatever forward we'd get

I know that would give us an abundance of defense,
But it also opens us up to doing a Myers for E.Kane type deal
Or trade Pysyk or Ehrhoff... Whoever

I'd rather pick the more talented guy & try n trade surplus assets for a young NHLer, than wait & try & develop another forward who prob will be a 2nd liner

And they did just take Nurse last year

Yeah Ekblad was so dominating at the world Juniors - not . I am happy with our d corps . Eklblad can be traded for more assets. Defense does not dominate right away in the NHL. A elite forward can . Drafting Ekblad means turning back the timetable for another year.
