Just make sure all areas where you have pipes are relatively warm. Use a space heater there if you think it'll be below freezing.

I was hoping Canada would win just so they would be in opposite pools. That way I could go up to Toronto to check out a couple games.

I still think they need an elite shutdown defenseman. Other than Zadorov, I still don't see who in thier system that can be. Myers doesn't really play that game. Pysyk won't be it, and I'm not convinced that's Ristolainen's game either.

I'm loving what I saw from McCabe in last years WJT, captain and all, very good defensive plat, big and has some nose for the O ... I like him alot for the future, just hope it wasn't an anomaly in his play

The Buffalo Sabres are inching closer to naming their next General Manager, as Boston Bruins Assistant GM Jim Benning appears to have the inside track.

Benning, who spent 12 years with the Sabres organization, is in his eighth season with the Bruins and his seventh as the club's Assistant GM.

Benning and Nashville Predators Assistant GM Paul Fenton are believed to be the main targets for the Sabres GM post, but Elliotte Friedman of CBC reported Saturday night on The Hotstove that Benning could be Buffalo's guy.
"It appears as if (Benning) is the front-runner right now for the Buffalo job, and I think there would be a few guys surprised if he was not the guy," Friedman said.

During his tenure in Buffalo, Benning spent eight seasons as that team's Director of Amateur Scouting.

It's unclear when the Sabres will make their decision on a new GM, but it's believed an announcement could be made in the very near future.

Wish someone had a date when it will finally happen. This "in the very near future" has been said since Darcy was let go. I'm happy with Pat running things at the moment . Mainly Worried about who will come in here and destroy what we have so far. 50:50 chance of that. People on here will still be female doging regardless of what the GM does.
