Katz is running that team like he just wants to hang with the early '80s Oiler teams and doesn't care if they win or not. How Lowe has a job still is amazing to me.

On a different note, without Miller next year, it could be a lot longer year than this one will be.

If we get Reinhart though, I think more fans will embrace the "process". I think people felt screwed over with Darcy

I am totally fine with being patient one more year. Honestly kind of hoping NYI take the first round pick this year so we can have a second shot at drafting McDavid or Eichel. This season feels never ending, and so will next season.. but if we can draft some truly "Elite" talent like that for the first time in ages, it should pay off big time for us.

I didn't watch a lot of the World Jrs (and I don't follow Jr hockey anymore) but based on what I did see I would pick Eichel over McDavid.

And to be honest I don't think the Isles will be in the bottom 10 this year, just a gut feeling.

I don't mind the process, it has to be done and without Darcy it won't seem quite as bad.

Anyone hopeful that if Briere comes back, it could revitalize Leino?
- rcostel77

Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner! Spot on. Give it a try, if it doesn't work, buy him out. smartest thing I have heard on here for days. Just don't trade Ott straight up for a guy past his prime. Stafford for Briere...all day long and twice everyday when he is healthy.

And, Otts value is only going to go higher closer to the deadline we get...someone is going to overpay...I love the guy and want him to stay, but if the value is there they have to move him. Don't pull. Darcy and get crippled by your own players.

Eichel and McDavid are both going to be great.. We could definitely use the offensive help.

If Reinhart is gone at number one, and we pick 2nd overall.. do you try and trade down a few spots and pick up Dal Colle? Or do you take EKblad even though we just took Zads and Risto last draft? I think Dal Colle is going to be a stud, but I can't say I wouldn't love to add Ekblad to our group of young d. Ekblad is going to be a beast.
- thisisderrik

Derrick, I think they take the best player available as they have so many holes..and given D takes a couple years longer to be NHL redy, they could consider him future "currency" to land the player to fill a big hole. Picking for need only is good IMO when you are a player away

Although I certainly would not disagree with taking Ekblad, or be upset if they took him.. I would really love some offensive firepower. I was kind of upset we did not take Shinkaurak last year, but have grown to love the thought of Zads and Risto on our blueline for years to come. (Hoping they pan out)

Elliot Friedman on HN in C just said Sabres are down to thier final 3 and close to a decision . Seems Benning is the favorite.

I'm sure Terry, Ted, and Pat decided and their selection is putting his staff together.

It's becoming a ritual.

Scott hauls man down.

Referee blows whistle.

Scott looks around like deer in the headlights.

Scott goes to penalty box.

then the sabres should draft DalColle at #2

they are the ones' scouting the players

if they think Ekblad is the stud for 10 years grab him

If they think DalColle is going to be a JT or Seguin player, grab him

right now, I trust whatever Patty and the new GM decides is best since I honestly think Patty is on board with what the fans want

- homiedclown

Considering how the majority of our fanbase falls in love with the blue collar hard worker type players, I hope Patty isnt on board with what the fans want.

Thats what set us into this downward spiral of a nightmare. Trading talent and our only legit option at center (Roy) for a third line grinder pest that became an instant fan favorite before he played a game.

I dont want a team full of guys that go balls to the wall every shift if they are incapable of doing so in a cerebral capacity. Work smarter not harder.

Not enough replays yet, but how does RJ say no to an elbow. Looks like he led with it, but maybe he did turn?

EDIT: Funny how a hit like that is barely being replayed, yet if it were on a Sabre they'd be playing it over and over.

It's honestly embarrassing coming on here nowadays because of people like you who post on here. What a joke these forums have become over the past year or so because of non stop arguing and bickering. You mentioned earlier that you are what? 47 years old? The immaturity that comes out of your posts time after time are mind blowing. Grow up a little bit, and act your age.

My brother is a scout for a team out west. Inside information.

Sabres won tonight. Whoo! As soon as I saw ott, d'agastini, and omark on the PP. I turned the tv off.

I wouldnt be surprised if they trade ennis for cal clutterbuck.
