I have lots of opinions on all sorts of subjects . The only time I defend John is when the haters club gets going and decides John Scott is everything that is wrong with the Sabres . If you are that worried about John Scott you can't see the forest for the trees. When the time comes . John will no longer have a spot here. That time ain't here yet.

I can't speak for him, but I watch the games as well. I see a 6'8 goon who is far and away the worst player on the ice every shift. I see the Sabres as never being a threat to score when he's on the ice. I see a player who gets a zero tolerance policy from officials (though maybe not completely his fault). I see a player who puts the Sabres short-handed in more frequently than any other player on this team. I see a player who lately hasn't even been the deterrent to opposing teams taking liberties on players that he was supposedly brought in to be in the first place. Winnipeg didn't even bat an eye at him. Girgensons was manhandled all night long.

The game may not be won or lost on spreadsheets, but when spreadsheets and on-ice play both indicate the same thing, chances are there's something to it. The fact that John Scott is still on this team is an indicator that the Buffalo Sabres have not even scratched the surface in shedding the loser mentality that has plagued this franchise for a long time.

Girgensons was not man handled . All clean checks His play is starting to get other teams attention . He powered through it and has too as part of his development . That is the type of player he is . He got hit in the same manner he has been hitting others . He handled it well for a 19 year old playing with men.

Reason being, for some of us, watching him play is just annoying. Being called a "hater" for not liking the worst player on the team is annoying.
Having to actually bring up stats to make a point that he's not at all even a slightly good hockey player is annoying.

Well, I am going to give the edge to Scott. The PIM's just show that nobody was afraid to fight Peters. And rightfully so.

We did not have all these cheap shot artists when the policeman could do their job. Not near the players injured either.

Got to love all the deliberate head shots to players knowing all they might get is a couple game vacation without pay. But the player they did it to is out indefinitely. Push them all out !!
