D men are just way too much of a crap shoot.

would you rather have
victor hedman or matt duchene?

- hubie

Now we're talking 2 versus 3. If Matt Duchene or Tavares is already picked, I'm still taking Hedman over anybody else in that draft (admittedly, I had to look it up in case I missed somebody). Also, we're assuming an even playing field, and that I don't already have Stamkos, St. Louis, and Lecavalier (who could still play at the time) or a need on defense. In a case such as this team, who needs scoring more, I absolutely take Duchene.

Thought the argue meant was not taking a dman top ten?

Johnson and Jay Bo were taken top 3. Matters not how many times they get traded, they were both taken where you would've taken a forward.

- dadeadhead

yes but the point is you can trade for top pairing d men as its shown top 3 forwards are tough

you wont see drouin ever leave tampa etc but I bet they would trade Hedman

Id take, Kane Schenn Kadri over Hedman even at that time

Can you prove that with anything other that "I watch the game" ?
- sbroads24

I am not jumping on you sbroads.
I can not prove they have been just like you can not prove they haven't.
So I guess the point is moot.
What I can say "just from watching games" is that they have had good offensive zone time and "puck possession" since Teddy has been here.
Some games better than all the other lines I have noticed.
"Just saying".

Proves you don't watch the games. It was a shoulder!!!
- Stripes77

It was a shoulder and there was never intent to injure.
There was intent to throw a nice check.
Sucks sometimes to be as big a man as John Scott is.

He doesnt hit often though
No one fights him.

I would rather watch rotaiting guys of Armia/Grigorenko/Larsson play than John Scott.

- ImThatGuy

I find him interesting to watch compared to most of the other D'Agostini and Leino's on this team. Armia and Grigorenko obviously aren't ready for the NHL yet need the development outside the NHL before we Tim Connolly them.

I would not. And to me, I don't see a significant difference among any of those four as far as being a real "difference maker" is concerned.

All I know is that John Scott is far and away the statistically worst player on this team by a country mile and it's bizarre that people are trying to deny that.

He takes "per 60 minutes played" more than 2x the minor penalties than anyone else as well.

No one will fight him, Nolan doesn't want staged fights.....Why is he even here?

Tim Connolly's shortcomings had nothing to do with how early he entered the NHL. It was all about motivation, and a lack of desire to be great.
