True but Reinhart is the only true center in the top 10 this year (current projections) and I'm pretty sure that what everyone has been pining for a franchise center. So if Reinhart is gone, sure you get an awesome player but not at our biggest position of need.

This is the main reason I hated we took two dman last year. Ekblad IMO is better than any dman in last years draft including Jones.

Lost in all of this is the possibility that we might actually agree on something.

Possibly he is. I think we are set on Defense and I like the way it is built. I hated the two D-men approach at first last year. But Zadorov looks like a diamond in the rough as far as his offense and his shot, and Ristolainen looks as good as his draft report said he would.

We built/are building from the back out. Now we just need the forwards.

I didn't think you could get worse than Kaleta in that regard. It's getting to the point where officials are hoping that he even looks at somebody wrong so that they can penalize him and not get any retribution from the league for being in the wrong.

IMO with last years draft, if it was that deep, you don't take dman in the first round.

I watch him play . He is never out of position . Actually makes some smart hockey plays for being the plug all the Haters want to make him out to be . Believe me . John Scott is the least of the problems on this team. Granted he is no Gilbert Perrault , when one of those are available I have no problem with him taking Scott's roster spot.

Well due to the supposedly weaker draft this year, do you take the best player that's avail, being Ekblad if possible? Then set up a possible trade with some kind of defense for a prospect that is 2-4 years into his career?
Just a thought here. Some people are headstrong on taking best player possible.
