Of course he's not. He's being pushed out of the league. They don't want goons that can't play anymore. - sbroads24
And we have a whole team of players that can't play anymore . Or at least score more than the other team. Goalie or forwards. Who is more to blame ? |

MOULSON DESTINED TO BE TRADED AGAIN?
Over the next couple of months the Buffalo Sabres should expect plenty of enquiries about winger Matt Moulson.
Acquired from the New York Islanders earlier this season, Moulson is on pace for 27 goals and 54 points. The 30-year-old is also eligible for unrestricted free agency in July and it’s expected the Sabres will ship him to the highest bidder by the trade deadline.
CBC’s Tim Wharnsby reported Moulson has so far enjoyed his experience with the Sabres and sees considerable improvement since Ted Nolan was hired as interim coach in mid-November. However, there haven’t been serious talks with the Sabres regarding a contract extension.
Wharnsby suggested the possibility of the Sabres moving Moulson by the March trade deadline and re-signing him in the summer as a free agent. That could be an expensive move. Moulson is coming off a three-year deal worth $3.13 million per season. Wharnsby noted only 11 players have outscored Moulson since 2009-10 and that he could command up to $6 million per season on the open market in July.

If true, hallelujah. Moulson as the Sabres rebuild, and on the top line is not a Gilperreault11 kind of guy - GilPerreault11
Not to play devils advocate here but anything the Hockey News writes is pretty much useless. Ken Campbell is a joke of a hockey writer, I know he didn't write that but the fact he is employed by them is enough for me. Besides it's not anything that hasn't been said on here. Some here wouldn't mind him to stay some wouldn't care if he was traded. Frankly either way works for me |

Scott, Konopka, Ellis, Mccormick. I have never seen a more boring, talentless team in my life. I can't wait until this goon fest is over - sbroads24
We're a goon squad in an era where you aren't allowed to ice even one goon. |

(frank) I hope he's wrong. He need actual talented, professional, grown men hockey players here. At least some. |

I honestly doubt any of them are here next year. Especially after we get a GM. However I can live with one of them, just not 4 useless players. - sbroads24
I would see Leino D'Agostini and Omark guys that are gone before your goons. Especially if Benning is named GM. He would probably want one or two of the Scotts, Konopkas, McCormicks |

There is a huge difference between Scott and Mccormick sucking and Drew Stafford sucking.
Drew Stafford is gonna suck scoring 10 goals and 30 points
John Scott is having a career year scoring a goal
We don't need 3-4 of either of those types of players |

For a waiver pickup Konopka isn't bad.....
Ellis can be moved back down
Scott isn't looking bad compared to others on this team, he makes minimum, good in the room and doesn't whine when he's not played -- what more can you
ask from a fourth liner....
Goon fest isn't going to end here:
if Marcus can start paying like his father
Zemgus is only going to get mean and nasty (the kid already has a demon tat on his arm, he's not going to be a lady bing candidate)
Nikita likes to skate thru guys
Freddie Roy is gaining a rep on the farm
they bring in guys like Gillies and Tarnasky for the farm
sprinkle some scoring in there and you have the start of something....
you should be shocked that we pay $4 mil (or more) to a guy like Staff, Ville |

One of Scott or Mccormick will stick around as an extra forward. They need to roll 4 lines of hockey players. |

These useless players are helping cement a bright future for this franchise by ensuring we finish dead last for the next two years. |

I'm so sick of hearing about how guys are "good in the room". It might be the 2nd biggest myth in hockey (next to "the code"). For all the guys the Sabres have kept around because they're "good in the room", it sure hasn't turned into many wins. |

Benning field day? He could definitely make something out of all that, especially with some top draft picks and 43 mill (Pending resignings) in cap space.

Those guys can play though.
When you have a guy like Foligno who will fight and can play, you really don't need Scott or Mccormick
They are getting rid of the staged fighting in the league. |

McCormick's issue has been staying healthy. He isn't a bad 4th liner. Not the best but he is serviceable. The 4th line should play at most 8 minutes a game. McCormick is more than capable of handling that ice time |

And where are we supposed to find exciting scorers right now ? This is not a junior high school house league . The gym teacher can't pull players off other teams to make teams more even ! This is the hand we have been dealt . Our young talent is not ready and we have a rash of injuries at the same time . They are doing everything they can do to put a team on the ice . People need to chill out . Take it for what it is . Life goes on . It is men being paid to play a game . Damn Buffalo fans are emotional . Reminds me of the people of this city when the Bills would lose a Super Bowl. |

Irrelevant. The only teams I hear bang the drums about guys that are good in the locker rooms are the mediocre ones. Anyone with an IQ above 40 can see that there's something wrong with that. Can they add value? Sure. However, if your team isn't talented, it doesn't do you a lick of good, and they're part of the problem, not the solution. That goes for any profession, be it in sports, or any other line of work. |
